The captain teaching you his "secret technique" reminded me of an interview I saw with "Japan's Last Ninja". When he was 6, a strange man from out of town came up to him and said, "I have a game we can play together, but you can't tell anyone."It turned out the way every 6-year-old dreams that scenario happening and he learned ninjutsu.
Ah yes, 12:25, the good memories of being taught how to play the Recorder in Elementary School and nobody knew how to play it at the same time as everyone else
I have to say in lets go some of the cutscenes are amazingly animated like the cubone scene and the legendary birds, so yeah swsh are kinda dissapointing compared to this. (except the catching, because it is literrally just a gimmick in lets go)

@@zeller1217 I like the way you catch things in these games. But it is kind of annoying trainers don’t give a lot of EXP and you have to physically CATCH Pokémon for it instead of using a super effective move to kill them instantly.
I remember when I was trying to catch Zapdos, I spent all my 40-soemthing ultra balls, then I threw my first great ball cause I thought "might just try one great ball before i soft reset" and then I catch it on the first great ball, and I felt a part of me just die.
I've watched the part where he uses the master ball on the oddish while "Before My Body is Dry" plays about a hundred times and i lose my shit every time
