I’ve said it once but I’ll say it one more time: Did you know? Flower trick, sprigatito’s final evolution’s signature move, when combined with its 70 base power, guaranteed critical hit, STAB, grass terrastilization, and a super effective type bonus will amount to a total of *420* effective power!
I think the worst part of the terra raids is the fact that the timer still goes when when playing animations, which you can’t disable. I have lost numerous of these raids simply because the Pokémon knew a move that would hit several times, and I would lose minutes watching the same lay animation 2-5 times per turn every. Goddam. Turn.
There is so much wrong with raids. The animation take times sucks. The shields are beyond inconsistent like how much damage reduction does it give because it seems random or poorly scaled at the least. The amount of shards you get from a 5-6 star raid is criminal. And also you get interrupt while trying to input a move because the raid boss decided to act instead. Such bull all around they arent fun and I don't know why game freak insisted on re doing the worst thing of sword and shield while making it somehow worse.

Sprigatito may not be able to evolve, but Alpharad is. It's so entertaining and satisfying to see his skill level for playing Pokémon increase throughout his videos. We've come a long way from "Mudkip hit good" and "Piplup take drugs"
It was interesting to see what was talked about on Gold showing up in this video (wanting to explain the details of what made a strategy work while keeping a compelling narrative). Excited for what comes in the future.
Imagine pretending Geeta is the final boss when Nemona has been chasing you down all game. Give your hyper supportive tomboy stalker her final battle you coward.
Honestly, so true!! The majority of Nuzlockes and challenge runs I see for Scarlet and Violet always end them at Geeta, instead of the final Nemona battle, y'know the ACTUAL final boss of the Victory Road storyline.
Should point out that the final boss does force you to use miraidon, which would go against the rules of the challenge. But yeah, I completely understand your point.
As someone who picked Sprigatito as his starter in S&V and considers the whole line his favorite Pokémon for Paldea, I enjoyed every minute of this (especially the minute or so that you could see Jaiden in the background, but that was only slightly more enjoyment than the rest of the video)
"That's a rant for another day." To explain what everyone else has already ranted: If she led with Glimmora and used Kingambit as an ace she'd legit be comparable to some of the series harder champions. In fact there's entire videos dedicated to reorganizing Geeta's entire team from movesets to abilities and ordering to make her as difficult as possible.
And thus begins the true reign of weed cat. Though also, damn, the type-changing is a really interesting feature. It does add a lot more strategy than a few other games/challenge runs.
I never evolved sprigatito on my first playthrough, and when I say it was insane at some points. The amount of moves the starters can learn in this game is WILD
It's funny how for the Mudkip run he grabbed the castform and let it die in the double battle to avoid the rules but for the Piplup and this run he decided that a second same pokemon was NEEDED
Well, the Hoenn games will always force give you a 2nd pokemon because of the Weather Institute; Sinnoh and Paldea don't have a mandatory gift pokémon, so it's kinda up to the runner at that point.
I'm glad Jacob realized that when it came to the ending Champion battle(s), the full team(s) of Geeta & Nemona have a shared weakness to Fighting types (Avalugg, Kingambit & Glimmora + Lycanroc, Dudunsparce, & Orthworm {technically Meowscarada too depending on the starter}). The only thing to it though is that unlike Nemona, Geeta has countermeasures against such weakness: Espathra, Veluza, Gogoat's Play Rough, Kingambit's Zen Headbutt, & Glimmora's Dazzling Gleam
@@SodaPopBarbecue Even then, it's not a bad team. However, why the heck is glimora, with an ability to set spikes upon taking damage, last? Swapping when she sent out kingambit and glimora would immediately make her team better by taking advantage of the abilities.
@@lillypad6936 If I were to figure out a way to make it work with Glimmora with still using Geeta's pokemon, I would say that for her starting Espathra (due to its good Speed stat) instead of knowing Quick Attack, replace it with U-turn; that way Espathra would not only have another counter to Dark types, but would allow her to switch immediately into Glimmora for its ability to be used (and then if the AI is good, switch back to Espathra if it/she wanted to)
