Given how passionate Alpha was about his legendary World Of Light nuzlocke, the fact that he never actually did a Pokemon nuzlocke up until this point is really surprising.

@@burntmarshmallowboy956 its usually a term i see in smash bros but it refers to something good but unlikely happening. Like an opponent self destructing in smash bros would usually lead to a "we take those" being said.
Having Braden in the call should be considered a competitive Nuzlocke challenge.

This entire thing is just "it's ok! This is salvageable!"
I mean it's not far off. It kinda feels like making gingerbread houses as a kid and it keeps falling apart, so you just dump a bunch of the icing glue on it and call it a day. that is literally this entire run.

The best part about Brayden screaming "I thought it had Sturdy!", is that Sturdy doesn't protect against normal moves one-shotting until Gen V. In Gen III and IV, it only protects against moves like Sheer Cold and Fissure.
Funniest part would have been if Onix had Rock Head.
and even if it did, Jynx would outspeed and kill Onyx anyway the next turn...

This might legitimately be one of the best scripts you've ever written. There are so many perfect turns of phrase, and on rewatch I can really appreciate how good the callbacks/foreshadowing are. Also the art is the perfect compliment. Overall, this is just extremely good shit.
This is probably one of my favorite nuzlocke runs ever, the 'send it' mentality early leading to the tedious studying and fear at the end is SO good combined with the amazing art makes this a :peepopopcorn: run

1. Goku gives Cell a Senzu bean, healing Cell before forcing his own son to fight Cell to the death.
2. Vegeta tries to kill his own son just so he can fight Cell at full power
3. Gohan almost lets the Earth blow up just so he can make Cell suffer
4. Vegeta let Majin Buu be revived just so he could try to get revenge on Goku (Goku was stronger than him anyways)
5. Goku fully heals Moro and then politely asks Moro to go back to Jail (LOL Moro almost destroyed the galaxy as a result)

Spends 3 hours in the game corner grinding for a TM rather than 3 hours grinding the Snorlax to carry the whole playthrough.
I mean, he probably could've used dig, it's physical in that gen, unlike bite or flamethrower (dark and fire type moves were both special types pre-Physical/Special split), and alakazam has a very low physical defensive stat being 45, but what he did was better for content. Not saying I completely disagree with his choice, but it's fun to think of the possibilities.

The hard part for me was
1.The levei of his pokemons
2.The breakdown he was having to make the best play, but he could just use a normal attack, since Alakazan didn't have a phisical bulky

You know, he’s known as an internet funnyman, but real talk he’s got an amazing ability to tell a story with ups and downs and get you emotionally invested. I feel like it’s not as well seen, but videos like this really show he’s a great storyteller.

The problem with that logic is that in Gens 3 and 4, Sturdy literally only protected against moves like Sheer Cold, which *guarantee* death when they hit regardless of stats or type matchups (except for very specific types depending on the move). It didn't gain its Focus Sash effect until Gen 5, so even if "Mewtwo" did have Sturdy, it wouldn't have protected it from a Super Effective Ice Punch.
That Sabrina fight, was by far the most devastating nuzlocke moment I have ever seen in my life.
That match is giving me PTSD from when I fought Cynthia... She destroyed my nuzlockes so many times!
It's fitting, because Sabrina is one of the hardest NPC's in the game. Alakazam is the strongest non-legendary in the game because of its high speed and special attack, and at this point there were no hard counter to it outside precise planning. She's a known nuzlocke ender, even though most people fall to Misty and Gary.

If it makes you feel better, Onix dying was technically your mistake for listening to Braydens advice AGAIN.
Using Onix at all was a mistake, Onix is trash. He brought it to counter the Charizard, but it just loses to Charizard because Onix's Sp. Def and HP are horrible, and his attack is also horrible so it can't OHKO charizard with 4x effective Rock Slide, and to top it all off Onix is slower than Charizard and gets 2HKO by him.
@@MiguelDuran And another thing, Sturdy wouldn’t save Onix. Because Sturdy only protects against One-Shot moves in Gen 3(Sheer Cold, Fissure, etc.).
I would have kept hitmonlee because it actually could take ice types down except maybe cloyster ot jynx

The way that you can simply switch out after using perish song, but Jacob just readily accepted Lapras’ death as unavoidable made the Sabrina fight a little extra cursed. I mean it didn’t die to it in the end but it was still ironic how he didn’t swap it because he thought it was futile lol

It probably does but before gen 5 all that sturdy does is prevent OHKO moves. (also even if it was post gen 5 sturdy switching to Onix would still be a horrible idea)
Is there any battle where Onix would be a good switch-in in any battle where it does not become a sacrifice or need a sacrifice to switch in?

@@iantaakalla8180 I mean, against an electric type with no non-electric special moves Onyx isn't a terrible switch in. It's physical defense and speed are decent enough. It's just the attack and special defense which are absolute garbage
Having an Onix in first place is an horrible idea. Is basically using 5 Pokémon and a death fodder for 99% of battles
This felt like a whole ass anime. Those deaths hit different.
Just like he did the with the CPU tournaments. He built a freaking anime kind of thing out of it and it was beautiful.
