Now this beloved series teletransports in High Definition, meticulously remastered for Blu-ray. This 3-disc set contains all 24 hilarious original episodes as first broadcast in prime-time on the ABC television network during the 1962-63 season.

All the fictional depictions of computers I saw as a kid in the 70s made me want to become a computer programmer. I do phone applications marketed to the blind, and I find that the Jetsons had a lot of speech-enabled devices. I didn't know that such devices were for the purpose of adapting for the blind until I went into my business.

Subcontracted to Grantray Lawrence. Don Lusk eventually joined the Hanna-Barbera staff as a director, and lived to the ripe old age of 105. I think Irv Spence (an old colleague from the Tom and Jerry days) was actually at Hanna-Barbera for a while too.

Hanna-Barbera pitched a Spin-Off of The Jetsons to CBS during The '70s, featuring older versions of Judy and Elroy. The network expressed a greater desire for a cartoon about The Partridge Family, resulting in Partridge Family 2200 A.D.
The Jetsons is a remake of Blondie and Dagwood.
Set 40 years from this Year.

And what's more Penny Singleton (1908-2005) played Blondie in the movie series of the comic strip from 1938-1950 before she became the voice of Jane Jetson which she did as late as 'Jetsons: The Movie' released in 1990!
