Now this beloved series teletransports in High Definition, meticulously remastered for Blu-ray. This 3-disc set contains all 24 hilarious original episodes as first broadcast in prime-time on the ABC television network during the 1962-63 season.

Cartoon Network was totally amazing back then. I know that feeling bro, I was born in 1992 and that 90's Cartoon Network will always own a place in our hearts and fond memories.
Shivers here too, but they're the same ones that I got when I watched the intro of the original series in 1962. That rapidly upward spiraling music with the visual zoom in from space was like an affirmation that "Yes! Space is exciting and fun! Science is exciting and fun!", and it resonated very well with this pre-teen boy whose goal was to be a scientist. :)

So the show was already old when we watched it in the 70s. Amazing.
Whenever movies or TV shows tried to predict future technology they usually ended up being way off, but many of them were spot on when it came to us all having huge flatscreen televisions.

Boy, brought back some memories. I remember when watching as a kid, air-playing the drum beat at 0:12, just before the “exploding triangles” as I called them then. Also that seductive trumpet (or trombone?) when introducing Judy.

Which is why I love The Jetsons! It is the PERFECT representation of life for Americans and western civilization in the 60s! Right down to the letter! Even down to the ways they predicted every futuristic amenity that the family would use. Way too prophetic to just be a children’s cartoon.

Gosh, I remember back in the early 80's and watching "The Jetsons" on Superstation 17 in ATL. Anyway I thought "The Jetsons" was what 2010 would be like... HaHaHa, Sure fooled me.
Bruh, the Jetsons were what society was like for the rich back in the 60s! Not necessarily a flying car, but they lived in high rises and lived a push-button lifestyle.

In late 1973, as an 8 year old boy in Melbourne, Australia, I enjoyed watching The Jetsons on B/W TV for the first time. The flying cars were so wonderful!

That was a goof on the animators part....
That’s what you call an “animation error”, this is quite common in hand drawn animation whether it be low budget or big budget. This also happens in CG animated cartoons.

Never grew up with alot of Hanna Barbera cartoons except Tom and Jerry, but NGL, The Jetsons really has that great value with its humor and Back to the Future 2 feel about its year setting. Man, 2062 in the series? We’re like 41 years away, folks. Bout to be in my mid 60s when all the futuristic stuff comes in.
