1) clean underpants
2) spare set of clean underpants
I love that your NC has a captain's hat on the dash LOL
Great video with good advice.
My tips:
- Clean and wash your car, especially the windows and mirrors (it will also help to spot some hidden damage)
- get some good sleep
- be respectful and kind
And remember: it's a trackday, not a championship race. Don't take it too seriously and have fun 😘
Tires and pads! So important! That by far is probably the most important for me. Proper tires and pads will keep you from going into the bushes, and pay for themselves in saved paintwork.
Don’t forget about nutrition, sleep and hydration, also, wear sunscreen, long sleeves, a hat, and stay out of the sun as much as possible. It’s a physically demanding sport, not just sitting in a car!
I have been tracking handful of times already and it’s good to hear these recommendations and advices. Great video!
Excellent. Loads of good advice and no bad.
Glad it was helpful! Appreciate it!
Great advice there Keith! I hate I won't be able to make it but here's to next year!
Great advice through out. Looking forward to summer camp vidoes. Already enjoyed the one from flywheel films on sunday.
great video as always, thank you :)
I almost never take the last seccion. Great advice!
so much good advice, thanks y'all
Great vid!!!!! Thank you.
Track food is the best.
Essentially, bring a support vehicle with all the goodies(Fluids, tools, air pump, snacks, cooler)...the wife's SUV, etc... nothing fancy, but it's nice to have a place to work out of.
Sarcasm
What tire pressure do you suggest for the Miatas?
Can you comment on how the RF model fits into the roll bar conversation?
As always, check with the organizers. The top isn’t really structural.
Question, on a somewhat hot day do you run your AC if you have one?
That dumps a bunch of heat into your AC condenser, which basically preheats the air going into your radiator and affects its ability to transfer heat. So while it's nice for the driver, it will stress your car's cooling system more. If you start to see your engine temperature rising, turning off the AC is the first thing to do.
@@FlyinMiataVideo understood thanks!
Some clubs that put on Track Days rent helmets
What if you don’t have rollbar but have a hardtop? Would that pass tech
The hard top is not really structural and will not pass tech at most tracks.
uh, flip-flops are allowed in the paddocks.....
Go fast take chances,, if you don't wreck every now and then. You're not going fast enough !! Hydrate hydrate hydrate !!
