Wow I’m early!!! I imagine you just laying in bed at night then all of a sudden you just burst out: “YES!! That’s it!! I gotta try that!! I wonder…?” And I LOVE IT and I’m here for it!!!❤❤❤
Funny thing is I have UV resin and a torch on order for pho lead lights and stained glass. I have a tree here made of silver wire with green, pink and yellow leaves of nail polish or resin (artist didn’t tell me how she made it) like a jade tree.
How exciting to see plique a jour, only done with resin and glue. It has always been a painstaking process using glass enamels, and very fragile. I love the way your mind works. You could fill larger openings using your resin paper, with a backing of weld-bond, made to handle ranges of temperatures for NASA. It starts out white, and dries clear…then coat the outside with a clear layer of resin for added strength. Perfect for lampshades and earrings. The Weld-bond will protect the resin from overheating from a lightbulb. You can purchase frames for Tiffany style lampshades for stained glass hobbyists to fill with coloured glass…but your resin paper will weigh so much less, even reinforced back and front.🖤🇨🇦
@@SashasRevenge Totally! I am a traditional gold and silversmith with natural gems and set bone, and occasionally glass enamel, on a complex piece requiring numerous colours, and where weight is an issue…I will use a 2 part epoxy with pre tinted filling to mimic real enamel very effectively. I also used it for champleve enamel. I would help the epoxy to take a firm grip on the silver or gold, I would engrave texture into the chambers prepared to take the enamel, and let it also add depth and gradation in the transparent coloured “enamel”. Some of the colours are fugitive with long exposure to sunlight…most specifically the blues, which can take on a purple cast over time. I have been working my way up to trying resin as a functional alternative to glass enamel and epoxy.🖤🇨🇦
I actually like the yellow to the light - it gives it a 'classic' color to the glow for a vintage lamp. It just feels right. Absolutely stunning idea either way.

Dang it, Daniel!! Now I have to find more storage space for more resin accessories, lol. Seriously, this is very pretty, looking very close to genuine enameled pieces. I'd advise keeping that little, tiny tab inside the piece to avoid it getting lost though.
You’ve made these 👀 like those enamelled jewellery Pendant’s which can be hard to come across a good one and then when you do ~there are very expensive ~ ❤ very nice job ~ well done ❤~ I will definitely be giving this a go ~much appreciated and thank you!❤

Your brain and imagination would get some stunning things out for people. Love watching your work ❤

Thank you for this video. I actually prefer the warm white color from the warm white LED balls as it's more reminiscent of an actual tiffany-style lamp. Thank you also for teaching me the clear elmer's glue hack as a resin thickener. You really don't need to add much, do you.
the little pull tab lights come in tons of colors Ive been using them, the balloon lights, and twisty switch lights in projects for ages now. I was making light up crystals necklaces for my daughter. I finally perfected those, it was a lot of trial and error. resin kept getting into the battery housing, so I had to fix that, then there was the diffusion. I found out plastic pencil tops work wonders for the diffusion into the crystal. Ive been trying to do things with the pull tab lights, I added rhinestones to the light housing itself to make it look like a disco ball. that worked ok. This pendent idea though is really genius. I had thought they would fit in those but wasn't sure. I never thought of using resin to fill in the gaps like that. i live for light up or glow in the dark so I'm always trying stuff with lights. Your channel really has inspired me to try new stuff. I to experiment so its nice to see someone else trying new things to. Keep up the good work! I look forward to the next new thing!
I have had the jewelry for 15 years. eBay sold them with balls inside that jingled or felt that could be scented with essential oils. I am going to buy lights right now because these are beautiful.

Wow DC. If these ideas of using hairspray, pva, nail powder are genuinely yours, then you are a art and craft genius. Even if not you have joined the dots which still makes ypu a genius. Keep experimenting with this and other art and craft ideas. Just wondering if after using the nail stamps sheets on a piece of resin, you then use hair spray on the resin with the stamp indentation, and then use a rubber compound to make a negative. This couldvthen be used as the basis on making a stamping ink stamp with mind blowing intricacy. Make a matrix of these rubber stamps on a frame to make a printing block and you would have a wallpaper printing block that would be next level victoriana wallpaper. If the background of the wall paper was rainbow, then it would be neo psychedelic Indian style vibe wallpaper. Awesome. Blessings are on their way to you Mr. DC👍

I wonder if you could paint the light in silicone aquarium sealant to waterproof it... It would interfere with changing the battery though. But on the ones that don't have the option of a removable battery that could be a decent way to waterproof the light. I don't think the silicone would interfere with the magnets ability to form a connection with the wire. But if the silicone gets too deep into the electronic panel it could potentially impede a connection. Hmm. You're videos always get my brain working.

Yep, that's gorgeous. 😍 You know what might make it even better? Diamond Dust! 😮 It might work to put it just as a layer on the inside once the light is on but would probably be best added on top of the second layer of color. 🤔 It would be so sparkly! 🤩 Would probably be good to mix in a tiny bit of glow powders and a bit of resin tint. 😉👍🏼
I'm also thinking that you could also use the thickened clear resin all over first then use some of those colored films in the areas, though I can't decide if it would look better trying to fit them perfectly on top or put it behind the initial coat and dome with clear or tinted (ink tint, not mica) resin on top. It really would be quite fiddly to cut unless you make a template (maybe masking tape the whole thing, cut out the holes and then use the masking tape left as a stencil? 🤷🏻♀️) but would look absolutely stunning in the end. 😊
Oh, do you think this technique could work with that sort of crystal growing stuff you've got? 🤔
