Try to unwind and relax! I used to just crash after contracts for a couple of weeks at least lol 😆. Mine were up to 9 months long though (ex pro figure skater). Month off then Xmas shows like you. I worked abroad, so it was lovely getting home to see my parents and just chill ❤❤🏴⛸️
Dear Hannah, I just wanted to say thank you so much for inspiring me to persevere with me ballet journey. I am a disabled woman, suffering with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome who has not done any form of ballet since I was a teenager. Since discovering your wonderful tutorials on TH-cam and following your vlogs, I have been so inspired by your incredible poems and stories and I have begun to regain my strength and flexibility and to dance which is something that I thought disability had stolen from me but you have helped me to discover my wings again. I may never be able to dance “normally” again but after watching your recovery from surgery, it has encouraged me to persevere and remember that no matter what I am further than when I started. I dream one day to be strong enough to join in with one of your classes! Thank you Hannah✨
That's amazing! I'm so happy you're back dancing! ❤❤ I have chronic illnesses too. I'm an ex pro figure skater (ex because I got sick and had to stop being a coach and choreographer). I miss being on the ice so much. Its lovely hearing of someone else managing to get back to what they love 💖🏴⛸️
Thank you so much for your comment. Your story in itself is so inspiring, and to think I may have even helped a small amount in your journey means the absolute world. I hope this doesn't sound weird, but I am so proud of you and all you have accomplished! Keep Dreaming Big and Making it Happen! You are a testament to this phrase that it is indeed possible to go against the odds to live out your greatest passions! Sending much strength and love. Hannah x
Smiling while watching. It looks like you guys have a lot of fun even though it’s A LOT of hard work. I enjoyed seeing different people from the company like Esther, costume gals etc. So nice for you to have these videos to remember these awesome times. The ending gave me goosebumps. It’s amazing to see how far you came from surgery not that long ago! You are inspiring. Enjoy your break.❤
thank you so much :) Yes, this trip was particular fun and engaging! So many sights to see, unfortunately too little time to properly enjoy it all, but loved every moment! :)
I enjoyed this so much. I can relate so much. I danced corp with the National Ballet of Canada’s four month tour of Sleeping Beauty with Rudolf Nureyev. Although exhausting it was a dream come true for me.
Congratulations! 🥳This is a significant achievement especially since you are recovering from surgery! Although it's understandable that you're exhausted, and you might not feel it in the moment, but you are gaining valuable life experience which will help you in the future. Thank you for giving us a tour of your company's personnel by introducing the costume ladies and the actors, the wig person, and the other dancers. It's your whole community! The pros behind the scenes definitely deserve recognition. Although not many people spend time thinking about everything that is required in order to stage a production, if these worthy professionals weren't there to do their jobs, the production would look a lot ... less polished. Their jobs are a support role similar to waiters and secretaries. I was a secretary for a number of years which I really enjoyed! When we do the job very well, it's hardly noticed because it's expected. (That's fine. I'm not complaining just explaining.) One only starts to really appreciate a good waiter or waitress or a secretary when there's a substitute who is definitely subpar. Because you are so new to the company/professional dancing, you probably don't have experience in a place where the costume and wig etc people were indifferent or they were grumpy and unapproachable. Hopefully you won't have to experience any of that. In many of the places I've worked, there have been, several times a year, re-organization of staff to working in different teams, and when one is working on a good team, where there's good chemistry, and everybody gets along, has the same sense of humour and produces good work, that is the absolute best. Inevitably one will have some teams where there is a toxic individual or the team just doesn't gel properly. So I learned to really enjoy the good times and to remember to be grateful for the enjoyable experiences. Your photo shoot looked absolutely stunning and I can't wait to see the finished pictures! You mentioned that you are going to be moving. Please remember to lift with your knees, not your back. I hope your new place will be everything you want it to be! Now go and celebrate, relax and enjoy yourself! 👏👍🙌 to all of your colleagues and company community members, personnel, staff I don't know what the word is but all those lovely people you introduced, and also, your soft tissue massager! And thank you for taking the time to record a vlog to keep us entertained and informed! 🥳💐🙏🩰🫶❤️
I totally agree, we would have no show without all the amazing team who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make this all happen. I am so grateful for them and the many things they do without us even knowing to insure we look our best for the stage. I didn't even get the chance to show the dressers, stage team, etc. there is so much that goes into the shows, I think it's so important to highlight these people who never get to bow for a crowded audience every night. The applause is as much for them as it is for us!
I remember my first tour: La Bayédéré second act pas d’action, Kingdom of Shades corps de ballet and pas de trois Second Shade (I got a promotion mid tour!). The Shades entrance and adagio is one of the most taxing parts. Every Night: arabesque penché cambré back repeat for what felt like infinity ♾️🫶🏻💪🏻🩰
@@HannahMartinRG yes! The time when you’re moving up to soloist but still doing some corps work is the most challenging in my opinion. I think Swan Lake, La Bayédéré, Giselle and Paquita are the most taxing for the corps and the soloists/demi soloists. We’re so much alike. I too spend lots of alone time in the studio perfecting everything. Also, what’s always helpful is (if you’re allowed) to learn as many parts as possible. I’m known as the ballerina who can step up into any part!
What a wonderful trip! Thank you for introducing me to the unsung heroes of the show, the background workers. They are so essential and your group is amazing. And the other dancers are so fun! What an amazing workplace you have!
Lovely vlog. I am sure you are such an inspiration to young aspiring dancers. I have 2 grown up sons, one trained at Tring (through injury and surgery has now followed a different career) the other is currently training in MT at GSA. Love to watch inspiring young people succeeding in life. Well done!
Also, I've been wanting to mention this about ballerina's sewing their point shoes for a while... It might be safest to make sure one always ensures that the sharp scissors are not in hand at the same time when yanking up on that threaded needle- . - Setting the scissors down won't slow the efficiency of this dreaded concentration task too much! CHEERS 👠
I’m crying tears of joy. From tragedy to triumph! I thank God for his healing power and your resilience to persevere. Keep dreaming YOU ARE MAKING IT HAPPEN. In Jesus Name.
You might find sewing your pointe shoes with dental floss more beneficial than thread, Hannah. Dental floss is thicker and stronger. Just a thought!! ❤
Hello Hannah, Many hotels have mini refrigerators available to bring to your room if requested as I believe people with diabetes need to refrigerate their insulin and nursing mother’s need to refrigerate their milk.
What an amazing life you have dear dear God you worked so hard so long and it all pays off this beautiful hotel room these gorgeous stages the performances the costumes the laughter the childlike playing afterwards the delicious food oh God is so good and you’re so beautiful to my goodness so young and your skin just glows in your eyes are so blue and so pretty your hair so silky and light I really enjoy this video and your darling friends what a marvelous marvelous adventure 🕊🙏🤍🌈
I feel so lucky to live this life God has blessed me with. It certainly is a rollercoaster but trying to be grateful for each and every moment :) thank you so much for coming with me on this journey!
An end of a big chapter! What is the first thing you do when you finish a big event in your life? Let me know 🙌🏻
Go get dessert and start editing music for my next piece 😂
Something peaceful and quiet like reading a book, watching a film
Hot chocolate or bubble tea. I definitely deserve a sweet drink after successfully completing something!
Treat myself to a pedicure. 😅

Hello Hannah, Many hotels have mini refrigerators available to bring to your room if requested as I believe people with diabetes need to refrigerate their insulin and nursing mother’s need to refrigerate their milk.
I have tried this before with no luck, but I will try again! Who knows? I might manage to get one!
Hannah if you don't have a fridge, put ice and water in your sink, and pop your stuff in! 😉❤️🏴
thank you for this life hack!
I learned that if you tell the hotel that you need refrigerator for medicine they have to bring one to your room. 😊
Whyyyy did you walk up fleshmarket close? I will walk around to avoid those steps. It’s really nice to see someone visiting my city though ❤
Yes, upon reflection it was not the best route, but we were a little lost. hehe
