Hannah, your videos are wonderful!!! The word repetitive has never entered my mind! This is a treat to see what the life of a ballerina is like. All of the hard work…all of the beautiful rewards. Thanks for taking us along! Watching from Colorado
I agree 100% on how I don’t find Hannah’s videos repetitive! Of course there are similarities when they go on tour to other times they have gone on tour but this is a familiar part of Hannah’s professional dancer life which I certainly don’t find boring! I would really miss Hannah’s vlogs if she stopped making them! Of course, if the vlogs are starting to become overwhelming for Hannah to make, I totally encourage her to take a break. We don’t want her to burn out! 🙏😍💐💫
For those who find your content repetitive, Hannah is documenting the lives of ALL professional ballerinas including me!🙋🏻♀️ Our lives are repetitive from our first plié in our first ballet class at academies all over the world (in my case, Moscow!). Repetition breeds consistency and consistent great work every day brings us closer to our elusive goal of perfection. For me, rehearsing and functional training leave me free of injury, distractions and allow me to enjoy performance!🇵🇹🇧🇷🇷🇴🇺🇦🇷🇺🩰🫶🏻 2:31
I LOVE these vlogs!! Yes it's similar content, but its always wonderful to watch! And each one is a bit different. So I don't think it gets repetitive at all I think it's fab!
Personally, I don't mind the repetitiveness at all! On the contrary, repetition helps you stick to routines. Whenever I feel a bit less motivated to follow my workout routines I love watching your videos to remind me that yes, it does take a routine, it does take repetition to actually see results. So yes to routines vlogs! :)
🙂Was amazing to see you dance in person Hannah! Was looking forward to the V-log up to this moment so thank you once again for letting us into the ups and downs of your life! 💜
@@HannahMartinRG It was amazing! The Red and wolf scene was so full of character too! Loved it. ❤Came to see you on Saturday (Bristol) literally walked right past your coach in the V-log. Do you know where you will be personally touring for Luna? Would love to see you perform again. The performances the whole cast give are so inspiring being a dancer of similar age.
Thank you for the video! I’m sorry about your cough and I hope by the time that you read this, you are feeling better! I love what you said about how putting on your own make up helps you get into character. It’s such a positive way of looking at it. Your friends are very funny! You are all entertaining even offstage! You’re doing really well keeping a balance of so much work and needing to take care of your body but also taking the time to go for walks and go eat with your friends and things like that. I suspect that the meals you make or buy and show, and the priority you place on excellent and tasty nutrition is extremely helpful for all teenagers and young people and especially dancers and gymnasts, etc. Keep up the great work! Wishing you all the best for your health and happiness! Big imaginary hugs to all your family and friends! 🙂🙏💜🌷🐝🌤🌛
thank you so much for your always insightful messages. I think finding balance when doing shows is close to impossible, but now we are back in a rehearsal season its getting a little easier to take care of myself as I'm at home and able to cook my own meals and self-medicate a little better too.
@@HannahMartinRGresourcefulness, and the ability + mental willingness to react to unforeseen circumstances are super important. Knowing which friends or colleagues you can turn to just in case is key. You’re doing really well with this because you get tested every time you go on tour. You’re not at your home base - but you have dealt with and reacted really well with things like your hotel room not having a fridge or there not being oatmeal available. Although those might not sound like a big deal to regular people, to elite dancers/athletes functioning at the peak of their physical fitness, any unforeseen hitches in the food they have available to them IS a big deal! And you’re handling these challenges really well! 🙌 The best one can do when work demands all of one’s time for consecutive days on end is to get through it in one piece. That is enough of a balancing act. 🧡 Obviously, I have no experience with performing, but I’ve had jobs where I’ve had to work consecutive night shifts, which means all one does is eat sleep work. Finding a few minutes here and there to do the dishes or get some laundry done - It’s usually doable, but it’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t happen. You’re doing amazing with your meal preparations at the beginning of the week and being ready with all the things you need to keep your body at its peak. You always find time for Bible study, and somehow also for making videos! Keep it up with the positive self talk! It’s good to want to keep improving, but also give yourself credit for what you have accomplished and what you’re doing right now. 🥰 Bestest wishes!! 🙏💜😄🌼🍀🦋✨
I really enjoyed the last few minutes of this vlog I always thought there was more laughter than we see. Gutted I missed the show, being only 12 mines away from the Hippodrome.
@@HannahMartinRG I will plan to be there. Gutted. So much admiration for the work you put in. I'm old now but Ballet was the hardest discipline I took for musical theatre. Tap, Jazz, Vocals were so much easier. God bless you all.

Hello Hannah, I'm sorry you got sick. Chest congestion is tough. I use a cup of warm water with a few drops of eucalyptus to brew and then smell. I cover the cup with a towel and then breathe the fumes through an opening in the towel. Also simmer oregano dried flowers/herb and strain it then drink the tea. Oregano is a super food for eliminating phlegm and mucus. I hope you feel much better soon.
Yes! I have been steaming every day for weeks now to try and help the congestion. it seems a bit stubborn to be honest, slowly but surely it is getting there.
Praying for continued healing of your chest infection with you, Hannah! 🙏🏻I had bronchitis this winter and it had me out of commission for almost two months. That type of illness is no joke! God bless you and may your health continue to improve 🤗
Thank you so much for your prayers, they are so appreciated. Illness is so difficult to accept and deal with, but we know ultimately that God is control
Love the delirium! 🙂 You don't have to like tea for it to benefit you--lemon, turmeric, ginger, and honey can go a long way to making you feel better. Hope you got some good rest on that "rest day!"
Your pointe shoe elastic placement is so low and it inspired me to move mine down a bit also on the last pair I sewed. Now my shoes are so much more secure and pulled up on my feet!
last year I was hit by a bad cough as well after a chest infection or whatver its called. I coughed so bad i waked my borther two rooms away at night, and i could not sing more than a single line at a time without coughing for the next hour (im a chirch musician/singer where i live, so that was not optimalXD) A lot of tea and hot cocoa and steamy hot showers got me thorugh it. Good luck with everything, i love seeing your videoes!!!
Thank you for sharing. I will keep drinking my hot drinks and hope this will completely go away soon. It is tough when your body isn't operating at its maximum.
I hope your chest infection has run its course. My daughter would get a cold and cough for weeks. She does have asthma, but one cold could equal 12 weeks of coughing. I have never understood why the dancers in Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker are in wigs. The original Sleeping Beauty story is from 1528, over a hundred years before wigs were worn in the French court. The Nutcracker was written in 1816, and wigs were no longer worn in England or France. Ah well, various choreographers who are working off of Marius Petipa's version from the late 1800s when wigs were definitely not worn. One of the last classical ballets I learned was the Pas de Quatre. I was cast as the dancer who did 32 enchantments. I don't remember 40 years later which of the four dancers that was. My dance teachers were Christine Du Boulay and Richard Ellis, both former dancers with the Sadler Wells Ballet before immigrating to Chicago in the early 1950s.
wow! thank you for these insights. Chest infections are pretty brutal. I see that now. Its taking a lot longer to recover from then I first expected. Possibly you are referring to the bluebird male solo? I may be wrong, but that is the only solo I could think of that has the enchantments.
🙂What a busy week you had but you managed well. It's always difficult when you are recovering from illness, especially the lungs. Rest up well. Rooting for you.
2:40 What is that you are putting on your salad? Balsamic vinegar salad dressing or something like it? 🙂 Hey, can you do a video with you introducing your colleagues/friends, so we can get to know them all?
It is teriyaki sauce -- my favourite! I would love to, but I have to respect the fact that they may not want to be on camera all the time especially in our breaks when we are not on stage. I try to be super mindful that not everyone wants a camera in their face at a moments notice. I would love to include them more in the future though as they have such great personalities!
40 shows in total! Although unfortunately I didn't make the last 4 shows due to this illness. It was so sad not to complete the whole tour, but sometimes your body doesn't give you a choice. I'm glad to be feeling better now.
Saute spinach, mushrooms and lots of garlic. Finish it off with a squeeze of lemon juice and serve on sourdough. It's a good immune booster. Feel better soon
Your immune system has gone down from all the stress your body has been going through, that's why the incessant cough. If you can't set aside at least a few days of complete rest, I suggest taking double dose of vitamin C. That means 1k mg vitamin C to help aid your body into fighting whatever infections you're having.
