    Awe Hannah what a treat to see you dance that night in Plymouth I was as excited as you.. and my heart is still beaming !! Nothing like seeing your cygnet and swan wings wide open and how this tour has been the marker of how you've carried your successful recovery chapter onto the next level of flying high to kiss the dancing sky- sky high that is. So so proud of you 💕💕

    You are amazing Hannah! I am currently on a break from my work (dancing) and I don't know when I will be returning as the longer I have had off the harder it is to get back. Returning from an injury is hard and it is so motivating to see you back after surgery. You are a wonderful inspiration to all those that may not and are dancing. Thanks from Alex :)

    🙌 What a busy week! I can't believe you met Queen C! (Queen C C?) I am sure you brightened her day!
    You said for one of your shows you felt nervous, but didn't know why.
    A possible explanation: There are physiological reasons over which you have no control that can increase anxiety. Our hormones are constantly fluctuating throughout the month. A little more of this and a little less of that can trigger feelings of stress or anxiety when there is no actual emotional reason or foundation. Lack of sleep and low blood sugar can exacerbate these feelings. It's difficult to separate one's body from one's mind but it's incredibly helpful.
    What I do is remind myself that physiological reasons exist, that I can't control them (unless it's low blood sugar, and then I have a snack that is high in protein) and that they may be causing my current nervousness. Therefore, I choose to ignore it. When I consciously ignore the current feeling of nervousness, my thoughts go elsewhere, and the feeling starts to subside.
    I hope this helps! You are doing wonderfully well! Your comment section is full of supportive people who are inspired by you, and are kind to others! You are doing a lot of good in the world! 🙌❤️👏💐🥳

    • @HannahMartinRG
      @HannahMartinRG  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always love hearing your insights! Thank you so much for taking the time to share them here.
      I definitely think low blood sugar could be a contribution sometimes! I will see what I can do about that!

      @@HannahMartinRG You are very welcome! Since I have accumulated a lot of experience, I love to share it so that everyone can benefit. I have learned a lot from my family, from friends, coworkers and teammates when I was healthy, and from other patients with similar disabilities, so I’m just participating in the cycle of helping fellow awesome humans.
      Life is too short to have everybody figure out everything for themselves individually!
      FIRST! 👏🥳😍 You are already leading a very healthful lifestyle. You’re probably among the top one percent for your age group on the planet for how well you take care of yourself in terms of prioritizing your body’s needs eg ice baths, stretching, etc., sleep and proper nutrition and making mental/emotional/spiritual time for yourself. I don’t think that is any exaggeration, because even elite athletes in other sports have more leeway with nutrition and taking time off than the intensely strict regimen that ballet dancers, rhythmic, and artistic gymnasts have to follow.
      Please take the time to give yourself credit 👏👏👏 for how amazingly well you are adapting to life, not only in a ballet company, but in a touring ballet company. Being on tour adds another highly complex layer to being a dancer. There are probably benefits, but having a settled place of work which never changes would remove a lot of uncertainty which you have to deal with because of frequent travelling.
      Frequent travelling also has a tendency to upset one’s sleep and eating patterns. These disruptions often create negative, unwanted and even unreasonable thoughts, which sometimes seem very important and even kinda scary. Eg. “When I said to Sally, are you finished with the peanut butter, and she said I didn’t even eat any, I think she looked hurt and upset. Then I saw her talking to Jane and they looked at me funny. Then Jane turned her back on me. Are they angry at me? What are they saying about me? Who else are they going to tell? What if … (lots of “what if” scenarios is something my brain is really good at conjuring up when I don’t want it to).
      But after a really good sleep, and some food, these thoughts usually shrink back into a more reasonable perspective. You remember Sally has a peanut allergy so she wouldn’t have had any peanut butter anyway, and that Erica mentioned Sally and Jane were talking about nail polish and not about you.
      I’ve watched several other ballet TH-cam creators talk about the drastic difference between school and company life in addition to your own videos (Ballet with Isabella and various interviewees, Kathryn Morgan, Maria Khoreva, etc.)
      Keep in mind that this is also your first “ grown-up“ job. I didn’t have a real grown-up job until after I finished university and then a secretary program when I was nearly 23. Adjusting to a career in which there are people of all ages and backgrounds, an existing workplace culture, and expectations which are often unwritten can be quite a lot to process, even in a much less intense environment.
      It seems that the corps de ballet is the most difficult and hard-working position to be in because you have to learn so many different parts, and there are no breaks. I’ve heard other dancers say that they found it very rewarding, and they enjoyed the camaraderie, which is great. My general belief, based on life experience, is that everyone in every career should start out in the biggest group, which is usually the lowest on the hierarchy. One learns so much that would be impossible to learn if one went right into a soloist or managerial position.
      One of the most important things one learns almost inadvertently is how to be a good leader. Sometimes this comes because the leadership is not good, so one can say to oneself, “When I am the boss, I will never treat people like this, but I will make sure to always do that.” There are always positives that can be learned from even very negative experiences.
      Keeping up with your TH-cam channel and social media is an added obligation, which takes a lot of your time as well. If you’re ever feeling overwhelmed, take a break from TH-cam and/or do the bare minimum if your sponsors require it. You are a part of the first generation to have social media that is kinda sorta mandatory as part of your job, and I don’t believe it gets compensated. Again, there are probably benefits to you, but there is added responsibility. I’m currently following US college gymnastics and all NCAA athletes are now allowed to earn money from their name, image, and likeness. It sounds fantastic but one girl said that even a 30 second video takes two hour to make. That is a substantial chunk of time in addition to practice, traveling, and a full academic course load.
      Your TH-cam subscribers will be very understanding if you want to take a break. Is there actually a company policy on social media requirements that dancers must meet? It might be worth finding out who you can talk to about this.
      Give yourself a big hug!! ❤💕

    🙌 What an exhausting tour you had! By the way, if your bath water is the wrong temperature, let the hotel staff know. It could just need adjusting temperature on the hot water heater. Happened to me often in hotels. I have a question: I am in awe of your spirituality. I am Jewish and we have a set part of the bible that we are to read each Monday, Thursday and Saturday. When you read your bible, do you choose the part yourself or is it set by tradition or your denomination? I hope you don't take this as an offense, I just wanted to know how I could be more spiritual.

    • @suzannevaneeden-allen4777
      @suzannevaneeden-allen4777 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, Dorothy. Maybe I can weigh in? I'm a Protestant and we move through different Christian seasons during the course of the year. Readings are set out by the synod of our denomination, but since these are over-arching and general you can read whatever works for you. It helps to attempt to read with a study Bible or some sort of religious discourse discussion book. Hope that it helps ❤

    • @buttercupgeorge
      @buttercupgeorge ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@suzannevaneeden-allen4777 Thank you so much. Yes this helps a lot. I grew up with a lot of Lutheran friends (many were missionary kids, I grew up in Tokyo). They used to talk about bible study groups. Now it all makes sense.

      Thank you for your thoughts and inspiring this thread! (I agree about letting the hotel know about any room malfunctions. They’re usually super eager to fix whatever it is as soon as they can. If they can’t immediately correct the problem, they might move you to a different room even.)
      I had no idea different religions or denominations have instructions or guidelines to read certain parts of the Bible at certain times. I also did not know that study Bibles exist, but I probably could have guessed because there are study guides for all the literature we are assigned to read in high school and university. I had better obtain one quickly!
      You certainly have had a very unusual upbringing! You probably have a much wider perspective with which to view the world than most other people. 😍

      Hi there,
      Sorry for my late reply! Looks like you’ve got some amazing responses already!
      I generally just let God guide me on what he wants me to read daily. Often he draws me to passages that relate to what I’m struggling with at the time.
      Sometimes I do a Bible Study course though, which helps give me some structure.
