Can you use a water base cleanser twice to remove sunscreen? I usually just wear sunscreen and just cleanse twice with my regular cleanser. Is that fine?
Great question! I found one study from 2019 on this (link: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31157512/) which shows that non water-resistant sunscreen can be removed by regular cleanser, and water-resistant sunscreen is best removed by a cleansing oil. Keep in mind this study only had 20 participants though! Most regular cleansers should be able to remove water-resistant sunscreens as well; I personally do not double cleanse when I only have sunscreen on.
