I do the same around the mountain ranges east of Melbourne! So much more addictive from rider POV compared to chest or chin helmet. With a full face…Vitpilen pilots don’t really see the bike, just the road and the sounds.
I have just bought a new old stock 2019 Vitpilen and these are the roads I bought it for. this is where they show their best. I am lucky to have many roads like this in New Zealand! Nice vid, thanks.
I owned Svartpilen 401 before and now I got XSR900 for few days ago. XSR900 is much faster than Pilen401. But riding Pilen 401 was much more fun. Your exhaust sound me reminds me of my little pilen!! I miss WP's suspension and vibration of single cylinder engine.
Damn straight. 120hp is maybe TOO much for the road. Can't use that much power, but the little 401 you can use every single horsepower. That's the thrill of little bikes! Enjoyment without the insane speeds and risk of tyre slippage
Simply awesome to watch and listen! Just did it all over with headphones, much better! You and I are the same height and weight, so I’m glad you pointed that part out and the mention that it needs adjustable compression and rebound! I’m glad the 2020 model has. Plus the quickshifter, so problems solved! I’m now going to add one to my collection based on your rider review! Many thanks and keep up the great work. Just hit the subscribed button! 👍😎
Marcus, thanks for your comment. I'm glad it helped...on that particular road I will say that the 401 is the best bike I've riden this year...even compared to R1's and other superbikes. The fact that you can use ALL of it's power is it's greatest appeal to me. No need to be rolling off the throttle all the time or wishing the straights were longer so you could use all 160hp etc. Perfect all rounder! I hope you enjoy your 2020 model :) Thanks for subscribing
Yeah. It happened quite a few times throughout the day. It would also skip a gear which has never happened to me on a bike before...I'd change from 2nd to 3rd mid corner and then it would slip down to 2nd again and completely upset the handling...almost had a little off, but don't tell the owner 🤪
Yeah I'm thinking of doing all my review videos there so I've got other bikes to compare to etc. Plus it's only an hour from my house which helps haha. Glad you enjoyed it mate. If it was MY bike I'd push a bit more, but don't want to risk crashing my mates bikes haha
@@bikehubjapan I'm into the medium pace, those grooved corners and yellow strips look lethal anyway so probably for the best haha. Would be cool to see how that old 70's Kawasaki 900 you was on the other day would handle it, probably be abit of a piss take if you took your work mates bike out for 3 hours when you've only just met though haha.

No worries Gavin. Funnily enough the owner of this bike is a Kiwi too!
Just got my Vitpilen. Excited to start practicing that insane cornering skills. Nice video
Good luck bro. This was my first time riding it, so you should be fine 😎👍

Does it have quickshifter and autoblip?
No. None of those...new model I don't know... maybe. But the one I rode in this video didn't have any of those cool features
@@bikehubjapan alright thanks my guy. I heard the new ones have the quick shifter and auto blipper. I will check it out this weekend. Ride ssfe bro
@@JowaMoto you too bro. They're a really fun bike. I hope you get one!!! 😎
This is what we like 😍
Next is either an R1 or a Z1000R 😎
Well it definitely makes a beautiful sound 😎☝️just goes to show you don’t need a big engine to have fun 😎☝️😍🇬🇧🏍🇬🇧🏍
100% - I absolutely loved the thing!
What exhaust setup is on it?
If you watch my review video you can see it on there. I don't remember off the top of my head, but it's an American brand
@Ledd Lemmenes, hi, i think a SC Project CR-T mufler
How big are you?
I mentioned it twice in my review video...but...190cm and 90kg. Check the review video 😀
Sounds like Bosozoku😆
