I want a full size 5.56 AK and with Pioneer gone PSA is the most economical choice. I've heard they're still having problems with the firing pins and channels tho
I love all types of guns. It's a shame that some think if you don't spend $$thousands or if the gun isn't recommended by some popular social media influencer then it isn't good. I say if you can afford it and have a serious need for it and it works for you then go for it that simple. Remember other people business about what you do is just that their business and don't even respond to it
Just my personal standard. Both of those weapons showed acceptable accuracy for their class. Mine for my short barreled weapons must consistently put hits anywhere on a man sized torso at 100 yards. Due to the short barrel I would be using the heavier grain OTM stuff. I love my M-85, minus the buffer tube brace on it. Ran it in a competition once and found out that was not my best choice. Still looking forward to seeing how the 5.45 model of the PSA performs once it drops after the experience of the 2, IIRC, models that have come before it. Like the M-85 these will be low round count non range toys for me. The higher round count weapons are going t be my M-90 and '74.
I am also curious. My galil’s routinely have way better accuracy than my AK’s. Interestingly my 7.62x39 has MUCH tighter groups than my 308 version. Could be the ammo
@@FitnFire first range trip with the Micro Galil was bitter sweet. It shot great. Until the trigger started to fail to reset. When I got home I tore it apart and saw that the shepherds hook that keeps the trigger pins in place had completely fallen out. The pins had walked substantially too. Not sure if that was causing my reset issues but CW Gunwerks said they’ll be sending me a new improved shepherds hook in the next week. The trigger they put in it is the Fime group AK trigger due to 922R. I might try to put the original trigger in if I continue to have problems.

Hello question I am doing my 1st competition in 2025. I am doing The Tactical Games, I am wondering which pistol to run I have Glock 47 stock and the Canik Mete SFT Pro. Not sure which one to run
If you can, do a WOD and wear yourself out, then shoot both and see which works best for you. I would suspect the Canik would be slightly better but everyone is different.
It might have been the angle but that muzzle device on M85 didn’t look timed correct. I guess if you’re doing suppressor only then it doesn’t matter. I have grown to hate shims on muzzle device that are pair with suppressors.
@ Dang, I didn’t know that…I’ll have to look at more of their muzzle devices in the future. Makes sense if it’s diverting gases 360 degrees (duh on my part). The more you know 🌈
I'm a big Zastava fan but love both. If I owned both guns, the first thing I would do is dump the plastic stocks and put on Bone Steel Arms Galil stile side folding tubular "braces." If you do this, make sure you buy the right side (ejection port side) folder that is NATO length. The reason you want a port side folder is so you can have the gun slung with the stock away from your body (right handed shooter) and so you can flip it open with it slung. If you end up carrying the gun day in and day out, you can fold and unfold the "brace" any time you like without any fuss. They have both NATO and Warsaw length, with the NATO being one inch longer. I think I now have five with Bone Steel Arms stocks or braces. They are all metal, with a steel 1/4 diameter hinge pin and CNCed parts near the rifle.
The Cugir built Draco line up are built better than both. Too bad zastava doesn't use military grade steel in their bolts and trunnion like the actual M70, not the commercial grade model.
For $1,000 trying just isn’t good enough. These rifles are sold under a planned obsolescence program or at least that’s what it feels like. They peddle them knowing that they WILL need to go back to the factory for warranty work and that’s not acceptable. Imagine they go under while they have your rifle, much like what happened to Pioneer Arms and KUSA owners.
@ I have the 92 and when it comes to 5.56 AKs. Have a hard time justifying one because I have some nice 5.56 ARs. Have you ever done reviews on an Galil Ace gen 2?
I would say that the PSA Krink is that accurate based on what I did and what I saw Admin Results do too. The M85 probably could be a little better. I’ll relook it soon to see if the wind played a roll or my old ass eyes were.
@FitnFire wow, that is really surprising and dissappointing. I was actually thinking about getting one of these but after seeing this, I'll gladly just stick with my Mini Draco. Thanks for the vid, bro.

5.56 out of an 8" barrel doesn't stabilize well and will actually whip and keyhole at close range. 7.62x39 is really good out of short barrels, much like 300blk
M85s EAT EVERYTHING...PSA has been by far the worst AK Ive ever shot in terms of reliable build and quality control...had my PSA swapped out after barley 300 5.55 rounds...barrel was misclocked and the trunnion was getting destroyed. Zastava M85 cones with overbuilt trunnion, CHROME lined barrel, etc

I SBRd a zpap85. It’s a fine rifle. But it’s not a krink. And if you want a krink and think going this route will give you the feeling of having a krink, you’d be wrong.
