Bridgetown, Barbados | Beach Day & Sea Turtle Snorkel!

It's day 4 already on this Virgin Voyages cruise and today the Valiant Lady is docking in Bridgetown, Barbados! We arrive in port to beautiful weather and I have an excursion planned through a website I found for a local beach and sea turtle snorkel! I take a quick $5 taxi from the port to the beach and relax in my front row beach chair until it's time to snorkel - and WOW is the snorkeling amazing... we see soooo many different kinds of fish and several sea turtles! Looks like a great day. One of the many benefits I find with solo travel is the ability to do what you did these last two videos...change your mind on a whim, without regret, or having to consider someone you may be travelling with. 🙂 There are obviously benefits to both, but personally I prefer to do it alone and let the winds of change take me where they're going to go. Nice vid Merideth.
I love the Boatyard. The water is so calm and clear there. It looks like they let you off at a clean, well maintained property. When I visited last year, I was set up with an umbrella that was falling apart (and my umbrella in Antigua on Darkwood Beach was equally bad).
I was very glad you spoke against people feeding the sea life. What's the point in watching them if they're not behaving normally? It is so self serving how people do this, and it drives me NUTS.
Hmm, a tattoo over sunburned skin. That must have been an ordeal.

Think i might do that snorkelling excursion next time as it looked fun & if your on that little boat all belongings are safe & not going to get stolen ! I did the submarine trip when I was in Barbados, another great content, thank you .

Yeah, it's funny I read five books in seven days, or around that number, on cruises and people go die you ONLY read?
And it's like, no, I had day long excursions, talked to people serendipitously (organised fun is less my thing), etc. it's just my mind is unburdened and when that's true Instead fast.
