I have booked this exact excursion in March 2025 & then your vlog shows up. I’m so excited & just hope all goes well for it to happen! Great video thank you.
What an amazing experience to be so close to wildlife in the animals natural setting. These birds are smart enough to know that humans aren't a threat or predator for them, how cool is that. It is said (so not sure if true) that when the British reinforced the island with more aircraft a few years ago, that the birds weren't used to seeing such loud, noisy, fast things in the sky, and they would suddenly look up and topple over backwards! 🐧🐧🐧
Another great video. Hopefully we get to the Falklands on our trip next year. I hear it's hit / miss with weather. And "wheeling" off roading is fun until you get stuck and then break something. Glad you had a good time.
I’ve been following your trip vlog and I’ve enjoyed your videos tremendously. I’ll be doing a 22 day HAL cruise to S America and Antarctica this December. What camera are you using for video and still photos? I’m trying to decide what cameras to bring. Also, what tour company did you use for Volunteer point? I’m on a wait list for volunteer point on HAL. How bad was the bumpy ride in the 4 by 4? I have back pain. Would you discourage someone with back pain from going on this tour? Thanks once again!! I’ve also subscribed.
Thanks so much!! For most of the vlogging on this trip I used my Sony ZV-1F, which I honestly don't recommend for still photos, there are much better cameras out there, it is much better as a vlogging camera. I used my iPhone for my photos and they turned out great! Otherwise I'd recommend a camera with a really good lens as you'll want to be able to zoom pretty far in while cruising. I did Volunteer Point with "Adventure Falklands" tour, and yes, the ride was VERY bumpy for about an hour and a half (each direction) and honestly think if you have back pain it may not be a great option, although being able to see all the penguins so close is AMAZING, so it's a tough decision for sure!
Thanks, I’ve sent an email to them. Did you use any other independent tours? I’d appreciate any assistance. Also, what pre cruise hotel did you use and do you have a packing list?

Amazing video. We missed Falklands In January so perhaps next time. If you ever get to Melbourne Australia come see the penguin colony 10 minutes from the city in Stkilda and of course the Phillip Island penguins on Phillip Island 3 hours away.
A nice informative video .

That is a funny image 😂 wouldn’t surprise me! They aren’t as used to looking up other than for small birds!
This was a fantastic video. Thank you so much for sharing your videos with us!
King and emperor penguins hold the egg on their feet. I'll be going on the cruise this year, so excited!

I think i was on the cruise after you. 7/1. I was the only one to visit the Falklands with an Argentine flag. Almost got into trouble.

Would you recommend the cruise ship?
Yes, I definitely would! I enjoyed this cruise so much!
I will be on this cruise in January, 2025. Could you tell me the tour company you used to get to Volunteer Point and the cost per person. Thanks
