- On our nursery hopping day, we decided to stop at one of the most impressive Vanda orchid nurseries Redland, Florida, Banjong Orchids. Banjong is an orchid landmark in the Homstead area of Florida. This nursery is the star of Vandas and more. The owner Ben gave us his time and showed us around the establishment and spoke to us about some new crosses and that will blow your mind. Most of their orchids are their own creation through years of carful hybridizing. I’ve been buying orchids from Banjong for many years. Some of my oldest Vandas come from there. The orchids bloom all year round in multiple spikes. To me this place is hands down one of the best quality orchids you can get. You’re so right about the quality!! I mainly started falling in love with Orchids because of buying vandas from Banjong! They are frequent bloomers and that’s EVERYTHING! Not to mention when you enter the nice neat nursery the scent is magically intoxicating-there is no way you can leave without buying at least one. Both Ben and his aunt are very helpful and friendly. You always feel special, leaving with a beautiful, fragrant Vanda in a lovely pot like the cherry on top! Thank you for showcasing this wonderful place! Hopefully I’ll see you at OFEs! ❤
Hi Melissa! You’re right about the fragrance. It’s so sweet and gentle. I have so many of his Vandas. I never get tired of his orchids. This time it was his mother who was there helping him out. I’ll be at OFE on Sunday. 👍🏼

Im shooting the same as before. But it turns out that TH-cam takes a while to process the video even when it already up for viewing. Now I’m uploading but I leave the video uploaded for a day in the private setting. This allows the video to fully establish in HD before anyone can view it. If you ever find my videos blurry or low quality, wait a day and watch it again. I assure you it will look even better. 👍🏼

As soon as Ben said he got a lot of Mimi Palmers in, I went online to one of our orchid nurseries and YES! The Mimi Palmer is back in stock - sadly I don't think they will still have any in 10 days from now, when I get money. Can't afford any right now.

Morning Nelson, The trip to Banjong is always a must after driving down from WPB to the OFE June Sale Fair. I have a list of everything I've purchased from Ben minus a few I gifted my sister. We'll see you this weekend. BTW, you didn't say what vanda(s) you selected, no one can get just one. Yes, I otta know, I usually drive home with four or five in my back seat. That wa super enjoyable and made me think of getting a Vanda .just worried about the humidity here in \Portugal. Any advice?
Vandas do need allot of humidity due to the fact they are bared root. I sometimes put them on my trees. But thats because our winter here last a day or 2. They are sensitive to cold environments. You could also keep them in a greenhouse with controlled temperatures of 75 to 85 f (24-30 Celsius) Humidity should be no lower than 60%. Plus very strong lighting. They bloom more when they get strong to direct sun.
Ben is fantastic, always very helpful! I love Banjong, they have truly unique beauties and prices is not bad at all. The quality, the size, fragrance is amazing. Super organized too. We are blessed with such nice people and nursery in our area. I know u didnt but did Tere leave empty handed?
It is a blessing to have these great nurseries here like Banjong. It’s like a Disney of orchids in the Redlands.

Hello my friend, Question Can you mount a Miltonia?
Interesting question. I do have one on a mount that I mounted about a year ago. So far it’s doing well but no blooms. As soon as it blooms I’ll definitely feature it. But it’s still in experimental stages. 🤞🏼

It’s a fitbit watch. It measures my steps and heart pace. It was my birthday gift from my partner. Oh yeah, and it tells time too. Lol!
