My secret for big blue catfish is growing yellow squash and turnip greens, letting my neighbor have a bunch of it and he brings me 20-40 pound Blues all I can handle from the Roanoke River right to my front door.
I want to thank Daniel Arms for sending me to your channel, this video reminds me of the time i was fishing with my granny in a backyard pond using a cane pole for catfish and brim and i cought a 20lb terrapin turtle, i was about 10 years old. I wanted to keep it but granny wouldnt put it in with the fish we caught so we released it back to the water. Those were the days. Granny is in heaven now i sure do miss her and grandpa
The @ArkansasGameandFishCommission has found a leak in the infrastructure at our beloved Lake Wilhelmina, and plan to pull the plug and began dam renovations on August 1st, 2024! We will be without the lake for roughly a year, and fishing will take a few years to really get good again after that. I want to say a huge thank you to the efforts of our AGFC! Without them, so many areas would not even be available for us to enjoy!!
I know shore fishin and kayak fishin is kinda your bread and butter but if you do hook a 40-50 pounder its really hard to land em from shore. Need to fight em from above
I made breakfast for supper. Sausage links and scrambled eggs. The only thing that appealed to me. Mama's fighting some Mickey D's stomach issues. I made her chicken ramen noodle.
Hey Cole do you think in future videos that you could start going more in depth with why you throw certain baits or certain colors in certain water etc.. It would help me to have a better understanding
that stinks that the backyard isn't lakefront anymore. that's a huge loss. I wonder what those meadows and marshes have to offer in terms of wildlife, and if the lake will ever come back. What is the master plan?
Not judging by no means but reeling in casting out never seen anyone catch a 40+ only seen those come by from letting the rod sit but you’ve been doing it longer than I have great video!!
Regardless of fishing type, keeping a tight line down to your bait will offer betterimpulses of the fish biting the bait, especially in moving water; which is what he's doing. Notice that he's NOT using very much weight on the sinkers. This allows bait to wash down through with current, rather than digging down into the rocks on the bottom. You keep baits moving in an area where the fish moving in the current. Circle hooks are great , as you DON'T SET THE HOOK ON A BITE! Designed for you to just reel in when a bite occurs... good job!
I do it from the bank too. Just use as light of a weight as possible to get to the bottom and not get hung up so it will bump downstream right in their face
Do you want to know my secret for blue catfish in the summer time? I will tell you if I get 100 likes!🤣

I see your still too skeert to try eating 30-40 pounders out of the spillway. Oxygenated fish is the best no matter what size!

Looks like I'm the first one to watch your video.

I just commented the same thing. I've never seen that either
I did it in that spot! Bumping and caught my pb 44 pounds ! Met Cole when I was there!

Dang wish I had a place to catch catfish like that
Let's see a big slimy catfish
Great video brother.
I've never seen someone catch catfish by reeling cut bait thru the water. We always let ours sit
It's bumping back downstream over the rocks towards us on the bottom. We are just reeling to keep up with it and not get snagged!
@@COLE_and_JAY That's pretty cool. I guess I've never. I don't have a boat, so ic. But that's a good thing to know. And yeah that makes total sense.
