My military friends always tell me to stay away from ODG, FDE, and any of those colors with molle and patches. Along with not putting the stickers on your vehicle that come from firearms companies or firearms accessories companies. It all makes sense now.
Yeah... big NO to bumperstickers and minimize the military/tacticool look of one's appearance and any EDC gear. Maybe run a SDR a couple of times a day... but what do I know.
Solid looking bag. I've been looking to get away from my 5.11. I love the 5.11, but it sticks out like a sore thumb with the MOLLE. I love the discreetness of this bag. Nothing about it screams tacticool or would lead anybody to expect what it's contents may be.
Nice review. I've been looking at bags. I've been doing the crapy throw aways for years now. Zipper gone or hole. I just throw it away and buy a new one. I always worried that if it said a good name on it. Where I live, that it will attract people and get stolen. That one looks awesome. Thanks again man
Wow, thanks for posting your update! I've been considering this bag for a while and when I looked in the spring you had some of the only info I could find on the bag. Pleasantly surprised to see your 1 year update! Thanks for your reviews.
After carrying the bag for some time, i realize I can't CCW at 3 or 4 oclock with this Bag. I wished the strap would go on the opposite side. I saw your other tactical sling bag and it had velcro and holster built in, I am sad that they took that option away from this urban bag.
Viktos makes a decent small sling bag as well, often on sale very reasonable. Mine works great for what I use it for, to feed my 870P "trunk gun". My "EDC"/work and travel bag is a 13 year old Eagle A Pack. Absolutely bombproof bag. I'll be sad if/when it dies.
Great video. Appreciate you being so detailed. I really like the look of this bag much more than the assassin. This looks like it would get much less attention. The only thing that's keeping me from buying this is that there isn't any velcro in the ccw pocket and I don't like the idea of a pistol moving around freely in that pocket. Have you found a solution to this? Thanks in advance.
Try some 3m peel and stick low grip Velcro on those pockets you like to keep closed. If you get the low grip Velcro you won’t have to worry about it scratching other stuff up.
Good idea but I have tried that stuff in the AZ heat and it melts at the contact point and ends up a sticky mess in the bag. I am tempted to have some sewn in
@@TacticalConsiderations Quick trick: Add a half dozen staples evenly through the material with the sharp points through the back of the Veclro (keep the pointy bits in the Velcro so nothing gets scratched). Velcro will stay put, even in heat.
Have you checked out the maxpedetion model of that bag? I’ve had mine since 2011 hah bought her while training at Huachuca and use to carry her trekking through the “mountains” out there off the border etc. I still currently use my bag everyday some 10 years later!
Egh your bag might be a bit larger actually 🤷🏽♂️. I don’t like how the conceal pocket is stuck with one direction though but that’s small detail stuff.
@@TacticalConsiderations yeah they’re speedy but I will say the differences from my pack to yours is pretty nice, the double zipper conceal pocket is nice for even more low key concealment, fabric material etc. but yeah money and I have to say I didn’t realize how stout you are haha so price to size is pivotal for sure! Love the channel brother has helped a lot in past purchases etc and helped me get settled on my thigh drop holster for my xdm osp 🤘🏼!
Nice bag, although it sometimes seems small. Mike, do you have a PDW discreet backpack that you love? Something that would take a folding MK 18 or similar sized bag. I haven't checked the other videos so you may have a review of some up already.
I don't I really haven't found one that I really thought was worth the money. There are some that are good but the ones made for pdw seem to be a bit pricey for what you get.
I’ve been in search for the perfect do all backpack. Literally spent thousands on them. I have a huge box FULL of different bags. I still mostly use one my dad got me in high school. Go figure. (No thousand dollar bags, just totaling thousands)
My current sling back pack is much smaller but a lot less pockets and features. Glad you demo'd this on your self, I think this would be too big for me at 5'-7" 165lbs. Great review tho!
How are the water bottle pockets different b/w the Urban and the Assassin bags? Do you have issues with either and your water bottle coming out or being loose?
@@TacticalConsiderations Any issues with the water bottle falling out being overly loose, etc -- especially when you slung the bag around to the front to get something out of it?
I’ve had this bag since the day you posted it, but I haven’t found a viable way to utilize the back for off body carry, curious as to what your thoughts and opinions are
Hey bud I keep my appendix holster in that pocket and it keeps the mag and pistol firm in the pocket. I do with they had the velcro like the others though.
I need a new sling bag. I bought a cheap one and I still like it because its small but holds everything like this one. If this little bag here had a holster pocket with velcro for my bag holster Id probably buy it. I could get my wife to sew velcro on the pockets.
Just purchased this bag from their website after watching your videos on it. I was torn between this and the assassin model. I love the fact this one looks more "civilian" than the assassin but really wish it had the velcro option for ccw. Anyway just wondering if anyone has tried to maybe sew a velcro panel in the back pocket or even the little ones? I already purchased it so either way I'm using it but was going to take it to an alterations store but was wondering if anyone else has done it before I took it in and asked if it's even possible to do.. New sub here as well bud! I love how informative you are in your videos my friend.
This really could have been designed better. If you open up these compartments things slide out. I know they did it this way thinking people would swing the bag around to the front for access so with the bag sideways, stuff stays in place but if you open it like a regular backpack sitting in the floor gear slides out because of 5he angled pockets. It’s annoying.. also the main compartment with the mesh on one flap same issue and it takes away from useable space in the main. The secondary compartments are on the small side. The pack is good quality but design wise it’s lacking. Also need to have a way to use sling on either shoulder. They should really redo this bag and it would be 5 stars for sure
That looks nice. Not generally into a bunch of gear.could use a decent sling bag though. Been using a little teardrop shaped bag I impulse bought at a discount department store 20 years ago. $15-20 marked down from $45ish. Use it more than any other bag bit it is not near as nice as yours and not enough space. Any amount of weight makes it ride weird & uncomfortable. Would like a better one. That on looks good. Wondering…any hot spots with mid to max weight for extended nature walks.in/over leaning trees up & down creek banks.stuff like that. Not shopping hard core for a bag, but one of the type with the zipper down the middle of the sling strap that converts it into a 2strap more conventional back pack caught my eye on Amazon recently. No particular brand. All looked exactly the same as the next. Chinese rebranded deal. Not familiar with this company (or any of them honestly)just starting to really want a better bag. Don’t want to ask stupid questions…You obviously like that one good enough to use it a year. But ever see/try the zip apart 1 strap to 2 straps type I mentioned above?Your bag size is as big as I want or need. Thoughts. Thx.
Burke slings are generally not great for anything heavy or kinda of heavy they get uncomfortable. A traditional style smaller bag may be what you are looking for.
@@TacticalConsiderations LOL, she just informed me she will never use a clutch purse, she needs her hands free for work. She also needs a place for a PDW.

Grey man gear. I dig it. Saw a guy at the range the other day pull a PCC out of a tennis racket bag. Gotta keep em wondering. 👍

I like my Tactical First bag. Trauma kit, boo-boo kit, medicine, extra clothes, MK 18 folded, extra p-mags.

It does look like a tactical bag, but it is black to mitigate that. However, it is a travel bag and never leaves my side.

Just got this. How did you removed the DDT badge?
really carefully with a knife just cut the threads.
The pocket at the back is actually for concealed carry.
Depends. the assassin is meant for that or for a hydration bladder. This version does not have the velcro for the holsters like the other models.
