Just picked up mine last week. Definitely was a hard decision but the AWD, heated steering, and very good lane keep, made my decision easier. Plus, the new engine without the turbo, now also mpi, should be a good runner for awhile.
You are the best car reviewer out there! So thorough and informative! You point out things that other reviewers never do!! I have this exact car and just wanted to point one thing out for you and anyone who might have this car/might be thinking of buying this car: The media/HVAC screen can be switched with a tap, there is no need to swipe between them ◡̈ Also, there is a feature on it that allows you to hold down on the screen you use the most (in my case, it’s HVAC controls bc you can control pretty much all media from the steering wheel) and it will stay on that screen all the time. If you tap to switch it to the other screen, it will only stay there for about 5 seconds to allow you to do what you’ve got to do and then it switches back to your main selected screen automatically! Just wanted to point that out in case it could help anyone and it’s something you might want to mention in your upcoming reviews of Kia products that have this screen!
I can't decide with this new K5 or the upcoming K4. Kia is just crushing it with design and features. You can't even get matte paint on a Camry or Accord! Even the interior colors options are better!
@seansull What baffles me is that this person spends time watching all Hyundai and Kia car videos like a derange stalker just to bash the brands in the comments. He's secretly obsessed with their cars.
Great review Kenny! For the $$ that is a a really nice car for sure. It should have paddle shifters and I really wish Kia had made it a hatch but overall it's a great ride though I'd want the extra ponies from the GT as well lol. Hope that you are doing great!
Kia gives you the most car for your money. I currently drive a Stinger with 300 HP and rarely use it all. If you are looking for a great used car see if you can find a Stinger. It is a great driver's car.
I'm so glad it doesn't have a turbo. I will consider it because it doesn't have a turbo and it is NOT a CVT. If only I could get Kia to have a manual transmission option.
Top shelf reviews. Glad to see a movement away from the turbo. This should improve reliability for the Kia Hyundai brands. I think it will sell. But you can pick up a Camry for about the same price.
Im going to buy the racing chip for mine it gives a extra 60 horsepower and a extra 5 Mi per gallon only for $99!!! I cant way to feel the power boost I will have from it🎉
Was very interested in this new K5, only to discover Kia decided not to offer it in Canada. Very disappointed in their decision, I'm hoping next year they have a change of heart.
Not feeling those triangular accents on the front sides of the grill. Also that chrome or satin trim around the window through the back should've been blacked out. The edges of the rear tail lights don't seem to blend in very smoothly. The lower rear and faux exhaust is also a bummer. Lastly the wheels are super ugly. All of my gripes are personal and subjective. For the money I don't see why they wouldn't have included rear AC vents. I think I would opt for the gt version as it seems to be the best bang per buck. Your review was impressive and very detailed. Thank you for sharing. Liked and Subscribe 👍🏾
Just bought the brand new 2025 Kia K5 GT line all-wheel drive with the premium package with red leather seats and the bose 12 speaker sound system! Mine is the new pearl white color! I love this car so much it is so classy and so sexy! I am also going to buy the racing chip for it it will give me 60 more horsepower and 5 more miles per gallon
I just picked up the 2025 GT line and so far it rides smooth interior looks really well sporty but yet luxurious specially with the red interior. Get more for your money than a lot of other brands especially Honda that nickel and dimes you for all options and I’ve been a Honda guy for many years.
Bummer. I really want to get this car, but he said it's for fresh college graduates. I'm already in my late 30s, so I guess this is not for my age range.
I have the 2022 K5, the tires always screech on turns..but other than that it is a great vehicle with good gas mileage and the inside is so high end.. not a fan of the elongated long lights on the 2022 and I think they went unnecessarily extra with the new one. 35-39k. Not worth that much. Cars in China are so cheap, but everything is so overpriced in the USA
I can't stand reviews that drone on and on about what the car looks like We can see what it looks like in a friggin photo. Get to the mechanics, driving, and, most importantly, the reliability.
Nice car. No matte paint..hard to maintain. No sunroof, no AWD..save your hard earned money! Get a base LXS model and forego the power driver seat. Then car is a nice value proposition, just don't load it up with distractions. Well cared for, I predict this will be a reliable and durable car. Less money than a base Camry or Accord.I find bright white accents on seats to be jarring.. Plain black cloth base interior is comfortable. Careful aftermarket upgrade of louspeakers will get you most of the Bose "punch". Mighty good looking car..keep your cost down!
I really wanted the gt. But after lots of research and joining and reading 90% of the Facebook gc posts, way, WAY too many problems with this car, due to the fact that it's Korean made. You won't see costs of maint due to its being newer, and it may all seem great, but as soon as the warranty wears off, it breaks, a lot. A ton of new tech, with that, a ton of additional problems and maint cost. Along with the fact that some insurance companies won't even cover kia because of the whole break and steal the car trend whether or not it was this model or now that there is a key fob. People still do it. And I hate it. I really wish the car had a better rep, and reliability of a toyota. The engine in this car is you Google or, is horrible. I am going to be getting a camry xse. But fuck I really wish this car was made better, I wanted it so, so bad.
As soon as the (powertrain) warranty wears off? You mean in 10 years or 100,000 miles? The vast majority of owners would have traded it in well before then. Also, the non-GT versions have all reverted to their tried-and-true NA engine. As for reliability, Kia is one of only 7 brands whereby JD Power recommends every one of their vehicles. By all measures, Kia has established itself as one of the most reliable makes around. As for the theft issue, that's a fair point. Supposedly, Kia has remedied the problem. Don't know if that's yet to be reflected in terms of insurance coverage. As for the 2025 Camry, I googled it. Plenty of problems already being reported. Happens to the best of them.
The gt version is way higher quality than the gt line. The full gt is made in Korea and imported and the gt line is made in the us, lot of owners are way past 100k miles of the 2021 and 2022 ones with minimal issues. Take care of your car and it will take care of you
Never been a big fan of Kia and Hyundai but lately Kia as been really impressing me with their design, quality and infotainment 😯
This was the best review of a car, I’ve ever heard. Great job brother.
Thank you 🙏🏼
I’m 62 , I love the way it looks and it drives quite well
Beautiful car. I have the 2022 gt line in Wolf Grey and love it! This 2025 refresh looks amazing, like it transformed into Super Saiyan 2!

Probably the most informative and detailed explanation of this car. I am undecided on the Hyundai or Kia. The GT Line AWD is ahead.
I can't decide with this new K5 or the upcoming K4. Kia is just crushing it with design and features. You can't even get matte paint on a Camry or Accord! Even the interior colors options are better!
who cares about that. See which vehicle lasts and provides long term value. Kia will look wore out, like your old mama in 5 years.
@john12354 That's just your opinion. And at least my momma is not passed around for the community to take turns. The whole globe had her!
@@jraheemjefcoat429yeah that was such a weird response from him it's not even on topic 😂

@@jraheemjefcoat429 cope, you are a fan boy for a low tier, mid brand, lil bro.
Thank you for this review. I just bought this same car and it was nice to see what all it does before I read the owner manual!
Absolutely love the color and the fact that it has all-wheel-drive. I wish they had a manual transmission as well.
Good review & it's the only car I want to buy.
👌🏼
Enjoyed the vid :)
Great job guy thanks 😃 I'm older and bought the EX and love it! Thanks for the video
Miss those fancy clear steering wheels with a little glitter in them. Lucite I think. Thumbs up review. Subscribers climbing great. Peace bro
Never heard of that. Could you post a link?

You want little too much there buddy
@@i.d.6492 might as well demand more from a low quality brand
Paddle shifters would definitely be a nice touch
Kia gives you the most car for your money. I currently drive a Stinger with 300 HP and rarely use it all. If you are looking for a great used car see if you can find a Stinger. It is a great driver's car.
I really wish they would make the 290 hp GT with AWD
I got my K5 a week ago and have found that when the revs are above 3000 you have all the power you need for daily driving.
I'm so glad it doesn't have a turbo. I will consider it because it doesn't have a turbo and it is NOT a CVT. If only I could get Kia to have a manual transmission option.
Gonna test drive one of these today or tomorrow.
sadly we cant get this in Canada..... i would buy one in a heartbeat if it was offered
I would love to see you doing a review on a GT
Top shelf reviews.
Glad to see a movement away from the turbo. This should improve reliability for the Kia Hyundai brands. I think it will sell. But you can pick up a Camry for about the same price.
Same options a Camry in mid to high 30s
The best thing KIA can do next is update the K5 GT to also have AWD, only thing preventing me from getting the GT
Same
Hybrid also
Yeah, I went with a Volkswagen Arteon this time, but I would have definitely gone for the Kia K5 GT if there was an AWD option
Great review.
Thanks!
@@703SpeedYou're welcome Kenny.
Awesome video and car, but with young kids, lack of rear AC vents is a deal killer sadly. Can't believe they skimped on that in a 30k car!
Not many cars give rear vents for some reason
Man I love it . I have a 21 forte gt line
Excellent review Kenny. How does it compare as far as handling and feature content to the K5 GT with 290 HP 2.5 Turbo that you reviewed previously?
Handling is comparable-ish, power is unmatched. The GT is much more powerful
Weird how you can’t put back windows up and down
Of course the back windows go up and down.
Great review. How’s the bass for the sound system?
It’s pretty good once you dial it in. Could have a little more bass tho. I like bass
Im going to buy the racing chip for mine it gives a extra 60 horsepower and a extra 5 Mi per gallon only for $99!!! I cant way to feel the power boost I will have from it🎉
Usually not this early

Is the steering wheel accurate and similar to the Honda Accord bro?
Was very interested in this new K5, only to discover Kia decided not to offer it in Canada. Very disappointed in their decision, I'm hoping next year they have a change of heart.
Im currently 17, would this be a good car for me who is now been driving for like 2 years now?

I'm getting the same exact car
I just absolutely hate the yellow daytime running lights... I wish there was a way to to change it to the cool white
I own 3 kia sedan only issues is the engines forte optima and k5
That's the only issue, huh? 😂😅 Other than bad engines, they're great cars. 😅
Not sure why the GT Line has AWD but not the GT!
Awd is fir mfs who lives where it snows

@OUTTHEMUDVISUAL ... Got the Sorento Hybrid
Why not Canada 🇨🇦😞

AND SHOULD BE A BUTTON ON THE TRUNK SO IT CAN GO DOWN BY ITSELF LIKE THE STINGER
In Puerto Rico thus car cost $44,000 is ridiculous
Is it just me or the pre-refreshed K5 looks much better than this one? - at least on the exterior..
ONLY DOWNSIDE NO FRONT CAMERA

I test drove one with this color and it seems cool. However it shows EVERY minor scuff and hairline scratch in an exaggerated way.
I was going to buy it and I put my thumb on the hood. Nasty finger print. I ended up getting the yacht blue

GT-Line trim is the way to go. And I want my panoramic roof and red leather seats!
People get whatever they want. If you want boring cheap lxs get it. The gt line and gt is best to get
definitely need AWD to get to work in these snowy mountains
@@i.d.6492 Thank you! Not a lot of people have a bargain basement mentality. And I hate to compromise on something that is basic.
You have it all figured out.
Isnt the gt line awd 5.4 seconds 0 to 60
No, that's the GT. This is the "GT-Line".
If you mean real world users getting 24-26mpg I'll pass. I get it, it's cool, quick, and flashy. That wears off really quick in daily use.

Cars that are popular in the ghetto are the ones you need to stay away from 🤣🤣 Bad financial decisions 👌🏻
..... unnecessary comment.
Very ignorant comment please do better
To bad Kia/Hyundais are junk
The paint looks like a 20 year old car that sat in the sun and had its finish baked off. Terrible!
I dont understand why they decided to change the lightbar tail light like on the 2024. Not a fan of the new tail lights.
Great review
