I can't speak the whole truth, which I wish, about Richard Rohr, just as I can never speak the whole truth about God without becoming an idolater. Am I correct? Is this what he meant it to be as I understood him? Please reply.

Non-dualistic does not mean a wishy washy world without distinctions or perspectives. There is some irony in what he said about the right, but remember that Jesus, who is the perfect exemplar of nondualism, called the Pharisees hypocrites and a den of vipers. Not to ultimately condemn them but to free them from their limited, deluded perspectives.

Can God be fully apprehended? Of course not, for all of us past present and future were are and will be but (using a metaphor) one small grey cell in the mind of God who fills the Universe. However thank God for Jesus Christ, who shows us the characten of God and who we are to follow. Not so much as to imitate, as to be by dying to our old ego self and allow Christ to rise in our most inner being. Please shed our trust in denominational dogmas, and seek the indwelling Christ in whom we have eternal life both now in the present and the new age to come.

To me it's very, very funny that we've taken to calling it ❝Vatican II❞, given that
    1. There was never a "Council of Rome", ALTHOUGH
    - a. there was a Council of Constantinople (and Orthodox Christians refer to Constantinople as the "New Rome")
    - b. it was actually at Constantinople that they actually finalized what we mostly mistakenly call the "Nicene Creed"
    - c. no Pope of Rome has ever personally attended a single Ecumenical Council, excepting Jerusalem, prior to the 1054 schism.
    2. It seems worded to make it sound like the Vatican itself has been rebooted, which according to Australian intellectual giant Hutton Gibson (and most scholars outside the Vatican II "conciliar think tank" - so even secular ones [indistinguishable as they are otherwise]) is of course precisely what happened!

It appears that the non-dual thinking has risks just like the other thinking. You can hold non-sense ideas just as well as good insights. The trinity thing appears to be a verbal sophistry. My guess is that this concept comes from the ancient Egyptian religion. A good example of non-dual thinking is that you can be and not be. When you look at your picture as a child, you see that you are that person in the picture, but you are also not that person in the picture.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but [wanting] to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths". 2 Timothy 4:3-4
"Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen".

Priests are human. In settings like this they seldom wear clerical garb. They are all priests and know they are all priests. Has nothing to do with being "ashamed", although considering the abuses that have been made in the name of clericalism, there would be good reason for shame.

Rohr’s doublespeak and web of tangled thought is very hard to follow unless you have taken the lure. Then he drags you wherever he, with his great knowing mystic mind wants to take you. You are the fish, he is the fisher. In order to do this the first thing he has to do is disavow identity, or the first premise of logic and reasoning A is A. He calls it dualistic thinking but it is really monistic for it must start with a thing is what it is. This of course leads to A not being Not A. That is not dualism. Rohr’s is dualistic thinking because the first thing it does is sets off the spiritual from the material, or the mind/body problem. In this dualism Rohr goes with the Beginning-less Mind and in doing so will eventual deny substitutionary atonement and that Jesus and the Christ are not the same thing, Jesus being the historical man and Christ the incarnation of God in all matter. How does he know all these things? It’s mystical and you can’t understand it unless you enter the mystical mind. Let go! Caught!

@@_TB808 Exactly! Rohr has to claim an evolutionary superiority since he is talking about things incomprehensible to us lesser mortals. Another example of his dualistic thinking. But neither Rohr nor you are going anywhere. (Mankind In Amnesia by Immanuel Velikovsky).
