The Baptism of John was a ceremony of repentance! Born Again.. Peter expressed his Spiritual condition when our Savior asked, "who do they say that I am? What is He asking? What's happening here? Peter gave the most passionate answer! Peter answered and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ. 30 And he charged them that they should tell no man of him. In this moment all of the scriptural support for the Papacy, succession and authority come from what the Savior said to Peter. Matthew 16:15-17 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Without adding additional meaning I need to point out that Peter expressed what it is to be Born Again! . Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. (I believe He means see the Kingdom in the present!) A spiritual reality not seen by the world. Born again a spiritual condition equipping the saints. John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Born of water is natural birth! and of the Spirit is Spiritual birth! Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? Some think baptism is born again but it's never tied to the baptism event in Scripture. 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Do you see it now..

The fact that this God filled woman is acknowledged as a "helper" rather than a person who should hold all stations in the faith system in her own right. She should be a priest in her own right, not diminished in capacity, limited by definition, viewed as the child of a lesser God that wont allow her to be fully blessed in her roles. That is why Catholicism is dying a slow , tortured, humiliated and very public death. That is why all of my women friends will go to the churches that are inclusive, that is why some have left the religion of their youth but not the faith. That faith they have taken, with deep faith and passion, to places of inclusive worship. That is what she is attempting to address from a position of lesser power. Youth is better at understanding inclusion, they live it in their everyday social interactions and culture, until the church changes, this will dog at the heels of the church and people will go to places that are actually living in the C21st not the medieval period of prejudice.

Words cannot express how are moving this message is( for me); how deeply touched and moved I am listening to this. Is a great line from a song by the group Kansas, “ The boundaries spirit erases!” I was listening before to talk from a neuroscientist on exploring the reality of consciousness; and he described the boundary like a Horizon, of perception; this boundary moves with us. The way this man describes going to the margins and making the connections and his experience, crystallizes and validates everything life has been teaching, Thank you for speaking this out loud so clearly. And I knew you would say don’t think me I’m thankful for I’ve been truly blessed!!!’nnnahhh

It appears that the non-dual thinking has risks just like the other thinking. You can hold non-sense ideas just as well as good insights. The trinity thing appears to be a verbal sophistry. My guess is that this concept comes from the ancient Egyptian religion. A good example of non-dual thinking is that you can be and not be. When you look at your picture as a child, you see that you are that person in the picture, but you are also not that person in the picture.

Rohr’s doublespeak and web of tangled thought is very hard to follow unless you have taken the lure. Then he drags you wherever he, with his great knowing mystic mind wants to take you. You are the fish, he is the fisher. In order to do this the first thing he has to do is disavow identity, or the first premise of logic and reasoning A is A. He calls it dualistic thinking but it is really monistic for it must start with a thing is what it is. This of course leads to A not being Not A. That is not dualism. Rohr’s is dualistic thinking because the first thing it does is sets off the spiritual from the material, or the mind/body problem. In this dualism Rohr goes with the Beginning-less Mind and in doing so will eventual deny substitutionary atonement and that Jesus and the Christ are not the same thing, Jesus being the historical man and Christ the incarnation of God in all matter. How does he know all these things? It’s mystical and you can’t understand it unless you enter the mystical mind. Let go! Caught!
