This has got to be one of the most disturbing cases I’ve seen from this channel and the murders weren’t brutal either but just the passion this man had to kill it’s so scary and how easily he was able to get away with it.

@@versatahlsharp4638 Yeah that was a crazy case - pure evil. The one I covered was from 1950s Australia and I first saw it during an episode of Deadly Women.
It boggles the mind (or at least, MY mind) to think of how easily available poisons such as thallium were until SO shockingly recently!! All you had to do was pop on down to the chemist and ask for thallium or arsenic to deal with rats or ants...just utterly mind-blowing to me!!

I just binged the true crime playlist and now I’m on the ones that are just on your channel. Let me just say it’s like I’m getting to know you all over again! You’re much more comfortable and I love seeing your personality more in these newer videos! 💙
I think the cause behind his heart failure was indeed by his own exposure to chemicals. If you think about it, chemists wear heavy protection when it comes to handling these poisons, and most of the time, I’m pretty sure this guy wasn’t wearing that protective gear. Over decades of him being chronically exposed to poison, of course he would have issues himself.
I've always been into true crime, but primarily it started with my mom's own interest in it. Now, not as much, but when I was a child, she'd often reference Dahmer, Gacy, JTR, Zodiac, and Ramirez. One of which she herself felt terrorized by during his killings. During the 80's my mom was a teenager in high school, living in the LA area. I now live in the house she used to as a teen. I used to ask why our windows were painted shut, and I always got the same response, "The Night Stalker" (Richard Ramirez.) So, to me True Crime would never raise a red flag, unless it was a noticeable obsession.
i just want to say I appreciate the extra warnings for animal cruelty - I was watching another channel earlier today who just charged straight into a graphic description :( I love the extra care!
Indeee. I’ve had to ask another TH-camr to say her trigger warnings aloud for the visually impaired or those who only listen. OMG, I am sooo excited to see you covering this case!! I first heard of it when a friend suggested I watch the film "The Young Poisoner's Handbook," which is an absolutely brilliant movie based on this case. What an utterly fascinating, terrifying, mysterious and just plain evil person Graham was! It's truly unimaginable for me to even try to comprehend how someone could function like he did...which I suppose is why this case is so bloody fascinating to me in a can't-look-away sort of way. I had already heard this story but decided to watch it again because everyone has their unique way of describing what happened. It’s insane that he got away with this for so long 🙈
Eleanor, thank you for educating us on this monster. It’s shame that he used his intelligence and knack for science in such a deadly manner instead of in a more positive way. My thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s families and loved ones.
Just one thing you mentioned, Eleanor. You were speculating on Graham Young's reasons and described him as narcissistic. Graham Young was a textbook psychopath - one of the most extreme cases ever. People tend to attribute other disorders to psychopathy, narcissism etc, but it's not necessarily true. We all show elements of personality disorders but they only become disorders when they're out of balance with other aspects of personality. It's what makes us human - gives us personality at all. True psychopaths are empty vessels with no trace of humanity, no personality. It's why they can appear superficially charming, taking what they see and using it. Graham Young had no reason because he didn't understand what it is to be human. He didn't understand envy or anger or anything else and certainly didn't feel it. It's really difficult for non psychopathic people to understand there's a black hole where everything which makes us human should be. For Graham Young there was just him and it. People were just things and ultimately he was just a thing to himself.
Also, I generally don't like to focus on physical appearance...but I just have to say that you look especially & exceptionally stunning in this video, Eleanor. That lipstick shade makes your skin look positively luminous, and I am *loving* that top!! ❤️👍
I like the sound of the teacup poisoner because it sounds sweet but when you hear about it it is very Erie. He just wanted to be feared and not loved. He was probably scared of stabbing or shooting people as that can be traced back to him but that also can happen with poison. You are so great at explaining these crimes ❤
I’m about to watch the video but I quickly wanted to say that I love you so much ever since my girlfriend showed me one of your videos. I really enjoyed your coverage of this case. It was one of the first videos I watched of Brooke McKenna's in her "killer kids" playlist and I always found it interesting. I especially like that both of you kind of laughed at his anger at his perceived "dainty" media nickname: "The Teacup Killer"/"The Teacup Poisoner". Of all the misplaced reverence that serial killers seem to attract from twisted individuals, even a minor laugh at their expense seems appropriate and deserved. Apparently he'd always try pulling what he deemed a "scary/intimidating" facial expression for photos (case in point the thumbnail photo of him)- although I think it looks more like he has gas! 🤷🏻♀️🤣 I'm glad he didn't get the respect he thought he should.

The laurel bush you’re likely referring to is very common in English gardens. Laurel has a very long & interesting history from gardens to the one Laurel you can eat (bay) to the Pythia of Delphi. It’s really not odd that a common garden plant would be at a hospital. Its often hedging where you are. It’s odd that a patient had the desire to distill it, much less the means.
I love how much you’ve grown as a TH-cam, I never watch your videos in order I always just surprise myself which which one I click on but sometimes it’s an old one and a new one after each other and I’ve realized how much you’ve grown and you are just more yourself in these videos, your growth is insane ❤
Great video as always. As to graham youngs death, there might be nothing suspicious about it, he could have inadvertently damaged his own heart over the years poising other people, particularly if he was getting chemicals on his hands while poisoning people.
I am a Gillian Barre survivor, I had it when I was 2 and relapsed when I was 3. I had many many issues but to think this poor man suffered with poisoning and having those nightmare treatments that were never gonna help him.
Wow, what a story! Thank you. Being a pharmacist and knowing quite a bit about drugs and substances I can understand his fascination with science, chemistry, pharmacology. But the thing is, he was not doing science, just torturing and killing people.
At 10, I wanted to become a doctor so I could become a coroner so I could work in forensics. This was 1974 so forensics was very different at that point. I was a voracious reader (as were my siblings and parents) and grabbed one of my father's books called Crime and Science, which researched the very beginnings of forensics. This was before DNA so they were mostly using fingerprints, blood-typing, and blood spatter patterns. It described several murder cases and that made me want to help the families of victims and get killers off the street. Was that odd? For most people, probably. I'm also an introvert and am socially awkward. But I've never had the desire to kill anyone. The interest in serial killers, as evidenced by you and the majority of your viewers, is just a coincidence. And yes, telling people that young that I wanted to be a coroner made people uncomfortable so I started just saying I wanted to be a doctor. That's society teaching a child that lying isn't just okay, it's preferable. Ick.
Can we talk about how gorgeous she looks here? She always does, watched her since the beginning, but the fact her lips match the bobbles on her tree in the background! Like slay queen!!! Okay, now I'm ready to listen to the story.
I have a request of a case for you :) the Leah Croucher Case, this didn’t happen too far away from where I live but have always been so interested in finding out what actually happened in factual evidence and not rumors going around the town :)
Hi Eleanor! Thanks for the video! This was definitely a unique case, for sure. Too bad he gives kids with a love of chemistry a bad name, haha! Anyway, the chemical from the matches is white phosphorus, which is toxic. Matches are no longer made with white phosphorus, but red phosphorus, which is nontoxic.
It's crazy how much the beginning of this story reminds me of Lizzie Borden. Lizzie (and Graham) both going to a pharmacist and lying in order to obtain deadly poisons, then their entire families _except_ for them coming down with mysterious, severe illnesses that can't be explained other than poisoning - specifically including their father and loving stepmother. Obviously in Lizzie's case she ended up going with straight up axe murder since the poisoning wasn't working, but listening to that beginning part was like listening to the beginning of her story too
I wasn't expecting guillain barre to come up in this case My mom experienced it, survived thankfully If his symptoms were really anything like that then it was horrific. It's a terrifying syndrome.
Very crazy how rare male poisoners are compared to other methods and that he not only got into it but found info on two male poisoners before info was widely available. Idk it is weird to me that his parents let him get into all of that.
I almost ate belladonna, but luckily I downloaded a plant identifier and found out what it was 😂😂😂 I thought I had wild grapes in my yard, but of course not. Apparently they’re not toxic to birds, but even rubbing against it gave my leg a chemical burn-like rash. They’re easy to kill with weed killer at least
Listening to this story and imagining a young Graham inquiring about these poisons makes me think of a young Tom Riddle asking Slughorn about Horcruxes. Creepy.
I've just recently found your channel and now can't get enough of your storytelling. You are really wonderful! Also - love how your lipstick matches the tree ornaments. :)
Hello Eleanor, Fun fact on Belladonna from my childhood as I am part of your older audience. This was about 1988/89, so I would have been about 8 or 9. I was having a lot of issues with my stomach (turned out to be the start of my anxiety) so the doctor had prescribed me to take Belladonna, as I had issues with swallowing pills (until I was about 10) to try and help with my stomach. Now, I loved to learn, still do. So I read the bottle, read the pamphlet and as one would, panicked when I saw "This can be a poison if taken wrong or more is added than instructed." How my poor Dad ever dealt with me.. Per the label, which I was *very* sure to make sure to follow exactly, was "Mix 7 drops of Belladonna into an 8 ounce glass of water. If you lose count or more than 7 fall in, rinse out glass and start over" It did nothing in the end other than shoot up my anxiety even more so. I do know that some point after that this was taken off the market for prescriptions. It did give a nice, slight licorice taste to the water though, I'll give it that. But to be fair, I'd rather eat licorice and know that a few pieces of that won't kill me like the Belladonna could have. I was even getting those white marks on my fingernails and when my Dad saw that he put a stop to me taking it.
@@lilliputian2 I'm sure that would've been helpful information for her, but I didn't read about her having a heart problem anywhere. She said stomach issues. Did I miss something??
@Ally Johnson I was just saying that liquorice is also not harmless. Though the dose makes the poison and unless you are consuming it in high amounts or already have a health problem, you'll most likely be fine.
You should cover a story here in the US that spanned a few states back in the early 2000's of a man I knew personally, thought of him as a father figure, only to see him on a show here called America's Most Wanted. She is such a person I would love to have as a friend. So empathetic too. I appreciate how she goes into detail with backgrounds of the people she discusses.
usually i have a really short attention span and can't focus on a video for longer than like 10 minutes, but something about eleanor's voice, setup, makeup, attitude, video style, humor, and basically just everything all together, keeps me so engaged and interested in everything she says
The way I screeched when I saw “Eleanor Neale posted 6 mins ago” is mad. You make us so so happy, queen! Thank you for all that you do.
I Did Happy Dance
I'm 57 yrs old as of last week & I had EXACTLY THE SAME reaction!!

Saw it at 19 minutes and immediately gave up present wrapping! ❤
This actually made me giggle! What a sweet comment 😊
I feel really bad for the people who had lasting side effects, they drank the guys tea and ended up either paralyzed or with ED. Not to mention traumatized

This has got to be one of the most disturbing cases I’ve seen from this channel and the murders weren’t brutal either but just the passion this man had to kill it’s so scary and how easily he was able to get away with it.
Honestly, it almost reminds me of Perfume by Patrick Süskind
white privilege to the last. See how he was even able to request where he went after the second conviction? Were that a black person they would have been jailed the first time for a lot longer.
As much as I agree on how horrific this story is definitely not one of the most disturbing
imagine the types on innovating improvements this man could've made to modern medicine or just science in general. Crazy he took a entirely different path.
Two videos in one week? What have we done to deserve this? Loving the commitment to creating content but don't burn yourself out!
bro i was so happy when i got the notification, it was a mix of confusion, shock and excitement
Eleanor is just so friendly, she always know how to brighten my day (and her makeup is always flawless) LOVE YOU ELEANOR !!!!
Eleanor Neale’s own form of storytelling is fairly engaging and immersive. Seems like she really wants us to dig deep into the specifics of the cases she presents per video.
You really haven't watched what immersive and engaging story telling then. Try watching Stephanie Harlow,(my absolute favorite)Emma Kenny and Kimberly. No ill feeling to Eleanor I love her bubbly personality and have subscribed for over 2yrs.
@@sadiyasaleh233I agree! I’ve been subscribed to Neale’s channel for a while! Long before I discovered Stephanie. I was absolutely stunned at the level of detail and context Stephanie provides. Either way, they’re both great storytellers! ❤

You’re literally having my back eleanor! 😂 works been so hard the past few weeks so having a bloody 1.5 hour video from you to come home to is such treat 🥺 thanks x
I recently covered a case involving thallium poisoning and did a bit of research into other cases involving thallium but didn't come across this one. Thanks for bringing lesser known cases to light, Eleanor.
I also just dove into that specific poison because of the Carr case. The Mensa neighbors who used thallium. It sounded absolutely awful and crazy this boy did this and kept doing it!

Her math skills are pretty amazing too.
I caught that too and he died in 1990, not 2000😂
Just started binging these newer vids (the last ones I watched were years ago) and it’s amazing to see how much you’ve grown in your confidence with the camera and also just the visible progress in your clearly time consuming research. You really helped spark my interest in true crime, so thanks ❤
Exactly what happened with me couple of days ago.. what really amazes me the she is same characteristic energetic down to earth girl.. you see others after they hit 100k that they change completely and gets cocky and entitled but not Elanore although i believe she is getting more and more beautiful as the years passes by

Even though I have heard Elenor’s disclaimer a million times I still believe it is the kindest and most respectful one I have heard/seen this far
..."someone should have done a risk assessment.." ... oh Miss Neale, i am enthralled with you! Every single time, you have hit the nail on the head, and these cases need to be discussed for truly educational purposes. I feel safer. But your delivery and .. panáche is so lovely to watch. Thank You so very much for being You. The gentle portrayal of each and every victim, survivor, or witness has me feeling their pain.. may you enjoy continuing success in life, throughout. ❤️
Girl I just want to tell you how awesome you are. I watched a video where you discuss your age. I had no clue how young you are. Your a hard worker, so very well spoken and intelligent. Your gonna do great things. Thank you so much for all your content. You do an excellent job with your research and you keep my attention when telling the stories.
I am sobbing having the worst day I've had in a long time. And seeing you pop up with a new video helps more than I could ever explain with words. Thank you.
Sorry you are having a bad day and hope it gets better.

Me too :( Eleanor’s videos are such a good distraction when you’re having a bad day though!
Hope you are feeling better ❤
I just binged the true crime playlist and now I’m on the ones that are just on your channel. Let me just say it’s like I’m getting to know you all over again! You’re much more comfortable and I love seeing your personality more in these newer videos! 💙
I think the cause behind his heart failure was indeed by his own exposure to chemicals. If you think about it, chemists wear heavy protection when it comes to handling these poisons, and most of the time, I’m pretty sure this guy wasn’t wearing that protective gear. Over decades of him being chronically exposed to poison, of course he would have issues himself.
I’m so glad you covered him! Not too many people do.
After watching both of the videos of you and Adam, it’s crazy to hear you explain a true crime case so calmly 😂
Bro, if I start vomiting and shitting myself more than once …I’d stop drinking fucking Tea all together. Start bringing my own damn water bottles.
i guess they didn’t know it was the tea😭
the thought of him and Ian Brady knowing each other is chilling honestly
He was a very talented person...shame he didn't put it to good use!! Grew up listening to the story of him...my dad knew him when they were younger
Omg! Did he ever get the “bug?”
I absolutely love how you care so much about us and always tell us to take care of our mental health ❤️
I’ve heard this one a couple times, but I’ll listen to it again because your voice makes everything easier to listen to.
Same x
i just want to say I appreciate the extra warnings for animal cruelty - I was watching another channel earlier today who just charged straight into a graphic description :( I love the extra care!
Indeee. I’ve had to ask another TH-camr to say her trigger warnings aloud for the visually impaired or those who only listen. She finally started doing it, but she doesn’t get everything and animal cruelty is one she skips over. And she’ll say it again and again?? When she (the YTer I’m talking about her) covered the serial killer who targeted gay men Eleanor just did herself the other day, the YTer would NOT stop talking about the victim’s cat that the killer also harmed. It made me too anxious to watch Eleanor’s video.

I love to listen to Eleanor while gaming, she makes a documentary that you can listen to! Thanks to her, I now know an insane amount about serial killers because her videos are so addicting. Thank you Eleanor!
Thanks so much for all you do, Eleanor. Your content is consistently excellently presented and brilliantly researched, and I appreciate you SO much for doing what you do! ❤❤❤
May Graham's victims' memories be a blessing to all who knew them, and may his survivors find as much peace and healing as possible.
I just wrote about the film too. He was obsessed with chemistry.
"Upset tummy" 😆 love it!
"It's like he was a walking stomach bug!"
"The math is definitely mathing".
I love those little sidebar comments she throws at us. Just another reason to watch this channel.
She posts whenever I run out of videos to watch. Rewatched three old cases and now I’m cleaning again and she just posted 🎉🎉thanks queen ❤❤❤
It’s great to watch a video that doesn’t involve children!🙌🏾
For all your videos, not just this one, thank you so much for making these videos, it's amazing how you do all the research and tell it all
Also, I generally don't like to focus on physical appearance...but I just have to say that you look especially & exceptionally stunning in this video, Eleanor.
I used to be too scared to watch true crime by myself, but now I watch your videos as soon as they come out. My dad even has a joke where he asks if I’m watching “that Eleanor girl” again. You’ve been a constant in my life for about 2 years and I’m super grateful I found you. Thank you very much:)
@@demi8890 its a bot, not her lmao
@@demi8890, Eleanor has made it clear that you don’t actually own land, you just have your name dedicated to it. It has been proven that Established Titles is not fraudulent, as they have been proven to work with companies that last trees. Maybe do some research on the topic next time, instead of making accusations like this against a wonderful TH-camr that does everything she can to support us and her Sponsors and receive deals.
My boyfriend did the same thing whenever he walks by my desk he’s like “that girl is always on your screen”
I really appreciate the fact that you give content warnings. Many others wouldn’t bother, but you giving them let’s me have time to prepare myself. Because you gave those content warnings, I can prepare myself for the fact that suicidal thoughts will be mentioned and it won’t trigger me because I was able to prepare myself. So I just wanted to say thank you for that. ❤❤
This one is one of the most sickening I have heard from Eleanor but one of the most interesting I have heard. I was listening to this in my physics class yesterday instead of paying attention it was just that good. Love all your videos Eleanor ❤
Cant wait to get into this while i wrap presents. thanks for the education and the respectful way you always deliver it. I always recommend your content when true crime is brought up.
I’ve been having such an awful day & seeing that you posted today makes me feel a little better❤️ Your videos are such a good distraction. Thank you!!
I love how much you’ve grown as a TH-cam, I never watch your videos in order I always just surprise myself which which one I click on but sometimes it’s an old one and a new one after each other and I’ve realized how much you’ve grown and you are just more yourself in these videos, your growth is insane ❤
I am impressed that she manages to get a sponsor for most of her videos 😋 You go girly! 💁♀️
Great video as always.
As to graham youngs death, there might be nothing suspicious about it, he could have inadvertently damaged his own heart over the years poising other people, particularly if he was getting chemicals on his hands while poisoning people.
He admitted that he accidentally poisoned himself that one time. Mixed up the drinks.
I feel so bad for Bob. Poor dude - he was just trying to help and be friendly.

Omg thank you so much for covering Graham Young! He's such a fascinating killer and it's hard to find good documentaries on him.

Obviously in Lizzie's case she ended up going with straight up axe murder since the poisoning wasn't working, but listening to that beginning part was like listening to the beginning of her story too
Omg I love the Lizzie Borden murders I also watch Sam and colby so they are the reason I know about Lizzie Borden 😂
There’s a lot of debate saying Lizzie was framed tbh.
Your little bloopers are so cute this go around! Good job as always Eleanor
I wasn't expecting guillain barre to come up in this case
My mom experienced it, survived thankfully
If his symptoms were really anything like that then it was horrific. It's a terrifying syndrome.
Very crazy how rare male poisoners are compared to other methods and that he not only got into it but found info on two male poisoners before info was widely available. Idk it is weird to me that his parents let him get into all of that.
He may have been getting it from the library without their knowledge
I love the longer videos! You put the extra effort in and explain with all the little details, it’s very appreciated ♥️
I have watched every single one of Elenor’s videos and this is by far the best one and my favorite. Thank you for putting this masterpiece together 🙏🙏
Creepy.
He wasn’t a fire guy, more of a poison guy 😭😭😭

Not to up your anxiety, but liquorice root is a problem for people with heart condition.
My dad’s a biologist and they actually once had a food/drink poisoning scandal in the laboratory next to his own. Horrifying😬
You should cover a story here in the US that spanned a few states back in the early 2000's of a man I knew personally, thought of him as a father figure, only to see him on a show here called America's Most Wanted. He was a fugitive for killing his wife of many, many years. They called him the karaoke killer. He went on a crime spree for a couple years but went undetected until I called that show to tell them I knew him, but not as his real name Joseph leroy crouch Jr but by an alias, Jay Nelson.
Whoa
I truly believe that he would’ve found a couple of cures for some of these illnesses we have today if he only used his knowledge for good.
You have absolute perfect timing, every time♥️
