I remember thinking after listening to the album when I first bought '4', that this was their peak album that couldn't or wouldn't be topped, and I was right. It was (for all intents and purposes) their final album even though it wasn't. It might as well have been for reasons all too familiar and painful to their original fans, even 40 years later. .

What a tour de force. Extra props to the horn guy and to the rest of the band for giving him the stage…killer. Just fantastic. Noone will ever convince me that we didn't have the largest, most talented , and most varied collection of singers and bands back in the era of the 70's, 80's and into the 90's! Funny thing is that if you were fortunate enough like myself to enjoy that era of music, it was mostly taken for granted because that was our reality back then. Hindsight, however shows just how fortunate we were to be there. Thank goodness for mediums like TH-cam that allow us to still enjoy the music but it's a shame younger folks can't truly understand how great it was to actually be there!

They ARE NOT in RRHOF because Mick Jones fell out years ago with the people that were involved with the RRHOF. They told him "It'll be a cold day in hell before Foreigner gets in" Lou was already long out of Foreigner, so he had nothing to do with this incident. But he talked about the fall out in his book. Lou said he didn't lose sleep worrying about it.

I have always loved Foreigner (and LG solo work…Midnight Blue is one of my top ten favorite songs of all time) but I’ve NEVER seen this performance and man, the horn part stands out so much! What a treat, I’ve gained a whole new appreciation for this song above and beyond what I already felt. WOW.

There is something so genuin about the timber of Grahams vocals. Besides the fact that he is totally killing it with his energy, pitch, and rytmical perfection. The epitome of a stadium rock vocalist. He is the voice of Foreigner without a doubt. Impossible to be replaced. A legend and a voice of a generation.
Lou Is the best every song he sings has unbelievable Strength and feeling to it and now that he’s having problems he sounds good just the way he is now the guy is magic

Man, those vocals. THAT'S how you sing rock n roll. It's those transients. That's all strong diaphragm. Guy could really sing - that's not something you just wake up and can do. That must be developed, it's really quite like developing any other muscle, power and control. It's very evident he took the craft seriously. That sax 🎷 solo is great, too. A well played tenor sax at the right time in a tune is seriously the sexiest instrument there is. Such a great feel, also perfectly tasteful playing. Forgot to mention, this concert was evidently so loud, you can see the interlacing distortion (the horizontal banding) on the film. It's common on beat 1 of each measure, that's pretty interesting, very cool. Could also be caused by distortion ("dirty power") in the electrical system, maybe from a powerful stage light somewhere each beat 1 sending some distortion into the power rails... I'm a nerd.. I found it fascinating

Man, those vocals. THAT'S how you sing rock n roll. It's those transients. That's all strong diaphragm. Guy could really sing - that's not something you just wake up and can do. That must be developed, it's really quite like developing any other muscle, power and control. It's very evident he took the craft seriously.
That sax 🎷 solo is great, too. A well played tenor sax at the right time in a tune is seriously the sexiest instrument there is. Such a great feel, also perfectly tasteful playing.
Forgot to mention, this concert was evidently so loud, you can see the interlacing distortion (the horizontal banding) on the film. It's common on beat 1 of each measure, that's pretty interesting, very cool. Could also be caused by distortion ("dirty power") in the electrical system, maybe from a powerful stage light somewhere each beat 1 sending some distortion into the power rails... I'm a nerd.. I found it fascinating
