It's quite rare anymore that you hear the truth of what Christmas is really all about in a commercial setting. It's just not "politically correct". Thank the Lord for those who buck the system. I've never been to Silver Dollar City, but I will be going!
I thought the same thing - in these days & times- a business that isn’t afraid to speak the True meaning of Christmas “the birth of our Lord & Savior - Jesus Christ “
Oh my word this looks like an awesome place to visit. My favorite so far is Grandpa's story. That really touched my heart. Great video looking forward to seeing the rest of your adventures at Silver Dollar City.
Wow! Just amazing! The buildings, the colors of the leaves, the wooded areas through, the story of our Lord 🎄💗 That alone means so much in these times and deserves our support. This place will 100% be added to our bucket list now. Ty for sharing!!
We love grandpa's story too.we did not know about silver dollar . It is a very interesting, funny and beautiful Place. Thank you. It was a special surprise for my husband and I.
My favorite part was Grandpa telling the birth story of Jesus. That’s the real meaning of Christmas. I have definitely enjoyed watching each and every one of y’all’s road trip adventures. Thank you both for the hard work and dedication you guys bring to the YITS channel. Keep up the good work👍🏼 Love you guys🥰😘❤️
Really great video Will and Dawn. Love how everything is themed there. The grandpa story was done really well and so important to hear and remember. Thanks for sharing your trip.
A bit of history, Marble cave was bought by Harold Lynch sight unseen and moved to the Ozarks where his daughters started giving tours, Harold Bell Wright visited it and shortly after wrote Shepherd of the Hills
Thanks for the video guys 😊. This is such a great atmosphere and beautiful park. Wish we had more and more of these places and values in today’s world. Well done Will and Dawn❤️
Thanks for taking me back to 1970, the year my parents took me there. In the big picture it has not changed that much since then. As I know you all do know, it reminds you off "Dollywood" because "Dollywood" was "Silver Dollar City" from 1977-1986. I went to "Dollywood" when it was still "Rebel Railroad". Yes I am really old. Oh, if you ever get lost in western Kentucky near Paducah be sure to check out our wacky tourist attraction full of punny folk art, toys and history. You-all did get near us at Lambert's Cafe in Sikeston
Very enjoyable tour of Silverdollar City. I don’t recall ever hearing of it before. I’ll have to add it onto my list of places to visit with my grandson when I head down there. Thanks for sharing.
I love you💜 grandpa! How Beautiful the story of the birth of our Lord and savior...love the long pause at the end...how great is that to sit still and take a time to reflect on the greatest gift of all given to each and everyone of us...How blessed we are...wonder if Dollywood has this stop on her train ride? Thanks Will and Dawn for sharing your wonderful experiences with us all...😊🤗😊👍
The video is great. There is so much to see in Silver Dollar City. Fire In The Hole was awesome. So were the rest of the rides. The one that was the best was Grandpa’s. His was so wonderful. He told the story of Christ’s birth so solemnly, it was beautiful. Can’t wait until part 2 comes out. 🙂😉🎄🎄🎄
Oh my goodness, the ending had me in tears!! I always love hearing The Christmas Story. Another beautiful place I would love to visit!! Have a safe trip!!🎄✝️🎅🤶
God bless grandpa and the greatest story ever told!🎄🙏 On the Stone Mountain Park train, they pause for a similar telling of the story called "The Gift". It's my favorite part of the ride! When we were at the church at Dollywood one Sunday for service, the Silver Dollar City pastor did the service. The Dollywood pastor was in Silver Dollar City, in an exchange program. Thanks for showing the church. The writing at the front if the church is the first part of Psalm 121, one of my favorite psalms! Have a wonderful trip and thanks again for taking us along!😊🎄❤️
Dolly bought the Silver Dollar City in Pigeon Forge and changed it’s name to Dollywood quite a few years ago. She’s made several updates, but the core feel of the park is similar. We used to have reciprocal benefits to Dollywood with our SDC annual pass. SDC is a very special place. So grateful they keep the Christian theming regardless of today’s culture. Check out The Homestead Pickers, if you haven’t already. 💗 Have a fabulous time!
Good morning Will and Dawn 🌞 Absolutely awesome video , I really enjoyed the whole video especially grandpa. God bless youns and have a wonderful day 😃
I was just there on the 12th of November, my first time ever and I loved it, so beautiful. A tad cold for this Florida girl, but still beautiful. ❤️❤️❤️
We visited Silver Dollar city quite a bit when we lived in the St. Louis in the early 80's. Our daughters loved the park. They both would go on the Marvel Cave tour when we would first get to the park. They knew the tour by heart and became " honorary junior tour guides". One of our family's favorite rides was Fire In The Hole. Thank you for filming it so well Will. I loved Grandpa telling the Christmas story. I really appreciate it that it is part of the train ride. Would be nice for them to do that as a part of Dollywood's Christmas season train ride. Looking forward to the second part.
I'm glad y'all got to go out and enjoy yourselves! Hope you have a wonderful vacation. I have never been to Missouri. I actually never thought about it until your videos, maybe that can be one of our adventures!
Hi, Yankeeinthesouth: I'm glad you went to Silver Dollar City, I have an uncle who lives in Missouri, who is a retired artist who designed signs for Silver Dollar City.
In 1976 the owners of Silver Dollar City Purchased Grand junction which was located in pigeon Forge Tennessee. They partnered with Dolly Parton and renamed it Dollywood.
So much fun! I haven’t been to SDC in a long time. Loved the real meaning of Christmas being shared! Thanks for taking us along! Blessings from Diane in Oklahoma!❤️
