Great video. I been in Acorms about 3 months and I'm at $1,800. It builds fast.
If you don't mind me adding /suggesting from what I've found out through other Seedlings.
When doing an even number purchase ex buying gas. If you buy $10.00 Acorns will still round up to the next dollar ($1.00) and invest that as well.
Doing daily investing is the best way to go if you can afford it ($5 min). You'll never miss out on the dips. If thats to steep (avg $150/month), then instead of doing a monthly one time transfer increase your multiplier to 5x with no monthly recurring. That way you'll get your investments in quicker than waiting until the end of the month. By buying more often you'll lessen your chances of missing on the dip.

I’m doing 50/week which is 200 a month, moderately agressive. I started in July and I’m at 1800 now. My multiplier is 10x and I use my card everyday. By the way the round up works for paying bills too. I also started a Roth IRA with acorn with 30/week. I’m not worried about their monthly fee, I can pay that with one round up. It’s honestly a win-win for me.

What is your perspective on Acorns Mighty Oak Account?

So its just a savings account that automatically puts money in and you have to pay monthly for.

Thank u! Its important to invest in your future! I do want to start that soon, just need to figure out some logistics behind it as I cannot record the actual fitness + sessions. Any ideas on how to create a playlist of my fitness journey so that those who want to tag along with me will be able to?
In any case, thanks for the comment! 💯👊

I'm an expat living abroad and was looking into this app. Unfortunately you can't sign up for it without providing a US phone number. Do you know if there's a way around this?

Does this Acorn app track our every spent dollar and use that information to market to us on a micro level? Are there any fees?

    • @chrisconsorte7893

Yes, Acorns gives you a line item on every purchase you make. There are there types of accounts you can subscribe and they are $3 personal, $5 personal plus, and $9 personal premium. I have the $5 which includes an IRA, checking and savings account. It’s worth it, trust me.

The $3 per month fee is rough on beginners performance. However if people utilize "Acorns Earn" for their groceries and car gas, they can come out ahead of the $3 monthly fee. If not, they are overpaying until they build up to $24k in account size.
Also their aggressive portfolio is good over the long-term for young investors. It's not really aggressive, but it does provide safe/diverse good growth.

Thanks for sharing video on Acrons. Really a helpful video. For investing in Acrons, we have to provide our credit card account and checking/saving account details to Acrons. How safe is to provide those? I knew this app while ago, but was skeptical to provide the credit card / bank account details. I know people are providing this, but your response helps to start investing in Acrons.
Also another question is, can i invest / send money from my saving accounts, where i will set $5 or $10 per month like that
Appreciate your response on this! Thanks

The app is good, but if and when you go to sell years later, then you will have to pay taxes on it. You are better off finding something to invest in that gives you the option to pay taxes while you invest so at the end, the money is all yours.
