    So nice to see Devonport, I lived under Mt Victoria in Kerr street in the 70’s. Devonport is the naval base suburb of Auckland. A village is a bit of a different name. It’s lovely to see all the changes. The Esplanade Hotel has changed a lot from the 70’s but it was our 2nd home. 😂😂 thanks for doing this.

    Next time you guys go to a grassy hill, scratch the cardboard… get a big block of ice, put a towel on top to sit on and slide down the hill… I guarantee it’s much more fun than cardboard… and much faster😁

    • @PeterandYen
      @PeterandYen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interest rates are rising but traditionally what happens is prices stay flat rather than crash. New Zealand has such little supply of housing that all politicians need to do to support the inflated prices is let more ppl into the country and boom new bull cycle 😅

    • @RaceCarFriends
      @RaceCarFriends 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PeterandYen I hope that's just a short term strategy on their part because it doesn't sound very sustainable, if it were me I would lower interest rates, give government grants to builders to build more housing in pre determined areas that won't take away from the beauty of New Zealand, and eventually lower the cost of housing too rather than filling the country up with people that may not contribute to the betterment of Kiwi culture.

    What a lovely little seaside resort! The Belgian coastline is just 66 kilometers long for a country with over 11 million inhabitants, so 1.8 million euro for a seaside house would be a steal here ;)
    That being said: I live 80 km away from the coast, where prices are 'a little bit' more reasonable, so don't jump to any conclusions on my personal wealth.
    If you should ever come to Belgium (or the north of France), there are plenty of old military structures from WWI and II. Heck, there's a very big (closed to the public) one just 6 kilometers away from my home!

    No I didn't spot the Easter Egg. ☹
    However, it's an excellent video on Devonport, well done guys.

      Might need to watch it again in slow motion around the Mt Victoria part for any unusual appearances 😆🐇

      I spotted it second time around, I didn't need to slow down the video either. Not sure why I didn't spot it first time around. ? ? ?

    I must say NZ seagulls are nicer than AU seagulls (at least Sydney's). There's no chance we can eat peacefully here with that many seagulls haha.. Pigeons are okay but not seagulls, they're terrifying 😅

    Devonport has always been expensive for housing. Shame the Auckland City Council now want to wreck the area by removing the heritage protection, and allow homes to be demolished and new 3 story houses to built.
