Man I wish this stuff was a thing when I was a kid. I always hated the Game Boys for not having a back light. But yet I owned and play the heck out of them.
very cool device. i have one of the ones that run roms, but seeing a preview of your collection behind you, i can see why you'd opt for playing the real hardware lol
The adapter set was a long time coming. I like that I have 'modern solutions' to playing these games and can somewhat retire my old ones. with NGPC, you'd almost need the Dock and the 8BitDo Neo Geo controllers to make it more authentic and control better for certain games.
Absolutely! I have the dock, so playing these games on a modern TV works out well. Currently I’m using an Xbox 360 controller, which does the job, but isn’t exactly ideal. It’s certainly not the clicky joy of a Neo Geo controller!
And this is the first time I’ve owned anything that played any of these systems, so it’s opened up three (or more, really) new game libraries for me to explore - and hunt for!
So sad that here in Japan I got a Neo Geo Pocket Color, Atari Lynx, and PC Engine combined for less than the price of an Analogue Pocket... Lack of localization with a weak yen is painful :(

I know, right? I love using original hardware and stuff for most classic games, but this little guy is a game-changer for old handheld games.

Nice haul! :)
Thanks! I’m excited about it.
