@@zombear13 Definitely. That's why I wanted to replay it. Since I still have my old save data I could turn on Eternal Mode if I wanted to but that prevents the sanity effects too, and they are the most unique part of the game.

Yes. In the past the arcade room was just in one of the rooms adjacent to the boardgames/DND area. Now it's down the hallway and last year they opened up the other side so it's gotten at least 3-4 times bigger since 2016

I know, right? I love using original hardware and stuff for most classic games, but this little guy is a game-changer for old handheld games.

Absolutely! I have the dock, so playing these games on a modern TV works out well. Currently I’m using an Xbox 360 controller, which does the job, but isn’t exactly ideal. It’s certainly not the clicky joy of a Neo Geo controller!

And this is the first time I’ve owned anything that played any of these systems, so it’s opened up three (or more, really) new game libraries for me to explore - and hunt for!

I totally agree. There’s no rule that says you have to have certain games for a system just because they supposedly represent that system. It’s all about what YOU want to play and display.

@@zombear13 This is very true about what YOU want to play. I have a lot of games I really enjoy, even if they did get a low rating. But I have found that more often than not, games that were in the top 10 of many lists were actually really fun and enjoyable to me, even if it wasn't my style.

Yo, I hope I don’t wind up deciding to sell nearly all my games like you did, but who knows what the future will hold? I’m definitely enjoying the breathing room this process has already given to my shelves and look forward to continuing to cut out the bloat in my Wii collection next. Also, the phrase “bits of plastic masquerading as ornaments” is brilliant, and will haunt my dreams going forward. 😀

To be honest I was also terrified that my discs may circum to disc rot at any time rendering them worthless the future of CD & DVD is a gamble because who knows there true lifespan ? And scalpers have ruied what used to be a fun and relatively inexpensive hobby into a overpriced nightmare, i have a 6tb hard drive full of games and emulators that i can just plug into a pc and play (BATOCERA)it's not as ASCTETICLY pleasing but if i clone it every few year it'll last forever, ​@@zombear13

Unfortunately I don’t have Silent Hill 3 or I’d hook you up! 😃 For some reason I have two copies of SH2 on the shelf, so putting one of those on eBay will be on my to-do list.

It’s definitely hard to find time to play a lot of games. I’ve just accepted that I’ll never be able to play ALL of the ones in my collection, but it’s fun to hunt them and discover them in the wild. The collecting is its own kind of fun! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Yeah, that PS3 was apparently a promotional item given to people (NBA players, as I understand it) who helped with making NBA Elite 11. Problem was, the demo was so bad for the game that the title was pulled from stores before it ever came out. Legit copies of the game (that store employees kept instead of sending back) are worth a fortune. I have only seen 2 other green promo consoles and one red one online. I got mine totally randomly at a nearby flea market before I was even heavily collecting. I was just looking to replace my dead PS3. No idea why that console wound up in my neck of the woods, but I was really psyched to get it.

It’s so good! Unfortunately there’s a huge bug they never fixed that made it where i couldn’t pass one of the story missions so I wasn’t able to go through the whole thing. We need a remake!

@@zombear13it was a very unforgiving game. Still, it was a hyper-advanced game for its time. If it had modernized graphics and controls, it would be nothing less than a $500 game. As a kid, the only thing I could do to get a handle on the difficulty was the comms knob cheat code to unlock all VT units. The Juggernaut in particular was fun to play with for the rail gun aperture.

I went to a games market here in the UK and someone had the set, including the game, all in original box, for £800, too rich for me, but it looked COOL!!😅
