Wagakki is a Superband of the highest order handpicked by vocalist Yuko. All 8 members are teachers and masters of their instruments and the liveshows are second to none. If you really wanna see what they can do you should give this doubleheader a try. "Ikusa" + "Hakushu Kassai" live from Dai Shinnenkai (New Years concert) 2018 hold at the Yokohama Arena, Japan th-cam.com/video/Kli0M-dmoeo/w-d-xo.html . Penel down in the comments requested "Hakushu Kassai" alone but you really should go for the doubleheader.
I recommend Wagakki Band:"Bring Me To Life with Amy Lee of EVANESCENCE". Wagakki Band :"Overture + オキノタユウ (Okinotayuu) / Premium Symphonic Night Vol.2 ~ Live & Orchestra ~ in Osaka-jo Hall [ENG SUB CC]". Wagakki Band : "Hakushu Kassai-2018 Dai Shinnenkai". Wagakki Band:"Sakura Rising with Amy Lee of EVANESCENCE" from Japan Tour「TOKYO SINGING」.
Good to see you back with the Wagakki Band, they have such an incredible catalogue. Wagakki Band is best live, for sure. I think the subtitle was translated by a robot, so it's probably not quite correct. Kyoukasuigetsu I can't figure out what it means, but I think it could mean, reflection of the moon. Tsukini sakebuyoru is something like: Scream/cry to the moon. Attaching two titles by Senbonzakura, so you can choose which you want to react to. Band version and Orchestra version Ft. Amy Lee from EVANESCENCE.. Wagakki Band - 千本桜 (Senbonzakura) / Dai Shinnenkai 2018 ~Ashita e no Koukai~ Wagakki Band - 千本桜 (Senbonzakura) with Amy Lee of EVANESCENCE / Premium Symphonic Night [ENG SUB CC] Senbonzakura (1000 cherry blossoms) is probably Wagakki Band's biggest hit and is played at all concerts. Kyoka-suigetsu is composed of the words "mirror," "flower," "water," and "moon." It is a "metaphor for something that can be seen with the eyes but cannot be actually held in the hand," like a flower reflected in a mirror or the moon reflected in water, meaning a "fleeting illusion" or "inexpressible taste.
isn't the wagakki band awesome ? vocalist yuko suzuhana just sends me ! such a unique blend of sounds that this band has. here's one for a future LOVEBITES reaction. it's the live version of 'set the world on fire' and you will see some of miyako and midori's best guitar work. this song kicks so much ass that donkeys all over the world have gone into hiding : th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for taking my suggestion. Now you get to hear a traditional Japanese folk vocalist sing traditional Japanese songs in this fresh instrumentation. I love how you have no idea what you are getting next from this band. Love the comment about the bass. I notice this in a lot of Japanese bands, and as a bassist it always boggles my mind when so many bands have such bad bassists OR require the bassist to just sit back and not get in the way. Wagakki definitely uses the bass well, as does Band Maid (where Misa shines) and Doll$boxx (more common itineration being Gacharic Spin), where the leader is a bassist is the founder. You might want to check out Doll$boxx to see what I mean about bad-assed instrumentalists (including the bassist). My favorite part of that band, however, is the blue-haired self-taught drummer, Hana, who kills the drums with her unique agression and vocalizes at the same time. If you want, check this out: Doll$boxx, Loud Twin Stars: th-cam.com/video/Tl4QNXnE-XU/w-d-xo.html
And your homework for tonight is ....... Yuko - Vocals ( and keyboard / piano where applicable ) Machiya - Guitar & Vocals Beni - Shamisen ( " the sort of boxy banjo thingy " ! ) Kiyoshi - Koto ( " the kind of harpsichord / harp thing " ! ) Asa - Bass Daisuki - Shakuhachi ( " the sort of bamboo whistle thingamybob " ! ) - it's actually an end blown flute . Wasabi - Drums Kurona - Wadaiko / Taiko ( traditional drums ) Feel free to bookmark this if only out of respect for the musicians
With regard to subtitles, I say have them off for the first listen. Later, go back and play it again with the lyrics on so you can get the story that goes with the feelings you had the first time. Really, though, there is no wrong way to handle the issue.

penel the doubleheader with Ikusa from Dai 2018 is better. Gives an better overview what these guys are capable off. Hope you can agree on that one.
