    As a complete novice to Forza (and most driving games in general) this was hugely welcome, giving me things to get in and try for myself - especially the summary at the end with specific problems to fix - without being overwhelming.

    Very easy to follow, thanks for the video! However, most of the cars I've gotten often redlines a lot at first and second gear, so what should I change to remedy that?

    • @skyrex2465
      @skyrex2465  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That's a driving issue. Either shift quicker, or (if the wheels spin) apply less throttle on trigger/pedal to let them grip again.

      When race transmission is installed, you can also adjust first an second gear individually. Try setting them a bit more towards speed, often helpful for rwd cars :)

  • @Skildpad

    Everytime my Audi Quattro lands after a jump, my car makes a roll straight forward like it's dodging a attack in a action game. How can I fix this?

  • @jaykelz1528
    @jaykelz1528 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I notice my tires scream when I turn sharp , so I’m tryna learn which remedies that! Other than that? I’ve learned a lot here!

    • @skyrex2465
      @skyrex2465  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a realistic feature. If a tire is asked to provide it's maximum grip, it will scream no matter what. My real life car does the same when turned hard.
      If it doesn't turn in well in it's actual path, try adjusting the antiroll bars.

  • @MidmaCM
    @MidmaCM 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So, compared to the other tuning video, he goes into explanations over specific guidelines like peak grip in the tires being yellow/clear when testing out a tune. You never went into that, your guide seems to make way more sense to me and clicks with my brain better, but what is your opinion on checking your tire temps and camber and do you have any guidelines for that stuff? Or should I mostly ignore those stats and just tune by feel?

    • @skyrex2465
      @skyrex2465  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, probably just ignore those things, if you don't wanna hunt world records in rivals.
      It is no Assetto Corsa, just fun arcade Forza Horizon, so I tune just enough so the feeling is right.

    • @MidmaCM
      @MidmaCM 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@skyrex2465 Well, I suppose I don't plan on hunting any world records, at least not for a long time lol, but honestly the way you explain things was really straightforward and easy to understand, as some one who's new to the game and enjoying learning as much as I can about tuning, I'd love to know exactly how they help and exactly what we should be looking for with that stuff, if you make a video on it I'm sure lots of others like me would definitely love it.
      Either way though, thank you so much for taking the time to make such an excellently crafted tutorial like this that helps newcomers get into the series.

    So if I was wanting to corner on smooth tarmac, would I do High front aero and low back aero ??

    • @iffi5110
      @iffi5110 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Balance it for preference:
      High front aero + low rear aero = more oversteer
      Low front aero + high rear aero = more understeer
      You want a bit more oversteer than understeer but keep in mind to balance it so your car isn't lacking in top speed.

  • @chris-om6bq
    @chris-om6bq 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    for me understeering is the biggest problem and im too stupid to fine tune this out. i tried to manage my r32 skyline so i could have fast car and put the biggest engine and everything in it and yet i cant control it. the amg one i have maxed out is super grippy and super responsive and my skyline looses its grip everytime and full aero isnt the answer there either. my rs6 starts to slide when braking and abs is the only aid i have active. yet i have to find the patience to really go to a test track an tweak everything and repeat this process withe every car i wanna drive. i hate my brain sometimes.

    • @bassguitarsean
      @bassguitarsean 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bias the center diff toward the rear (I like 75-80% rear on my STI), increase rear diff lock on acceleration and deceleration, increase caster (put the slider all the way to the right). If you still understeer, you can start messing with antiroll bars a bit.

      @@bassguitarsean allrighty and how do i deal with my bmw feels like i drive a rally when racing tarmac. I tried the last 20 minutes to remove it but it sounds and feels bouncy. Christ i could really need a personal guide x)

      @@chris-om6bq probably just need to work on gentle throttle inputs for RWD. Can't treat the throttle like an on off switch, you have to roll onto the throttle gently when you hit the apex.
