  • Fitting the TT exhaust is very easy. Getting the old one off is the hard bit. 80% of the job.
Here we have a TT Mk9 prototype but it's the same game as for the TT Mk7. Once you have got the old exhaust off and the strap and all its bracket off it's an easy case of fitting the new one.
Just fit the right hand side bracket (loose) on the right hand side rubber and then slide the rest of the exhaust into the left hand side rubber and then locate the bracket onto the two M8 studs.
I use a bit of 3in1 to lubricate the rubbers. Grease the threads of the two M8 bolts!
Loosely fit the three M10 flange bolts through the flange on the left then very loosely tighten the bracket M8 nuts so that they can be adjusted for height and depth.
When it's all in the right place then tighten everything up without shifting the location.
Do not overtighten the M8 bolts they only need 10NM.
    Job done!

Nice one. Is there no heat shield on the MGF? Good video cheers.

There is a heat shield on the MGF but you don't need it with the TT Mk7 as there's a lot of space between the box and the boot floor.

Does the mk9 silencer come with the new brackets?
