A long time ago in a galaxy far far away we completed our degree courses and to celebrate such an auspicious moment we are going to recreate the return journey that never happened from Strasbourg University. Going via the Nurburgring and the Munich Oktoberfest.
We wanted a suitably 'heroic' car to do this journey. By error of judgement and mistakes online I ended up with this amazing Rover 25 1.4. It only has a verified 14,000 miles on the clock! The engine bay is like new astonishingly clean.

Wasing Park was an amazing experience, an amazing setting with beautiful sunset and excellent facilities. Crowded House really blew everybody away with a great performance. REALLY rather a good gig.

This is the first start of my Maserati 3200 GTA warming up for the new Summer season. Today as you see it was 4°C but the started straight off and idled well.

A short video about the simple service of the Alfa Romeo Mito TwinAir. There is no cambelt it's got a camchain designed to last the lifetime of the engine. so you simply change the oil and the filters. an easy job so long as the 11 screws holding the aerodynamic floor pan under the engine come out easily. A tickle with the angle grinder should do the job.

yes it does and gaskets and bolts
I would suggest draining the oil first before removing the filter. Then deal with filter before replacing oil. This is the most common sequence of events when doing oil change. DONT FORGET TO REPLACE THE DRAIN PLUG BEFORE REFILLING OIL. 😂
Where does gearbox oil go? I cant find the nozzle to top it up

Hello Neil, I don't know if the timing belt had an arrow marking indicating the direction of rotation, however, without any mark, a kind of "rule" says you must have references marking readable in front of you. I saw this is not the case for you ...
I was not aware of this directional issue. if this was the case there would be an arrow and a label saying 'direction' I am sure.
@@theadventuresofred19 Sure, if the direction was critical, the belt manufacturer would have tagged the belt with an arrow. The "rule" I mentionned is common between mechanicians here in France, saying that if there is no arrow you should be able to read the reference when you are in front of the belt, whatever the belt. I saw on your Part 1, that the accessories belt on your car follows this rule. I don't know where you are based, but discuss about that around you, you may have also this comment. I'll have soon similar work to perform on 3200 GT 😁
99% of the time everythink is from a drivers perspective. Like left headlight. Left cilinder bank and front of the engine. So if the belt had that rule it should be good like this.
Dear Neil, thx for the nice instruction movie. By me it happened the same now the question is if everything is stil in position? the cams are easy but Is there a zero marking on the crankshaft pully at the front for zero, or is that only the mark at the belhousing under the car?

@@theadventuresofred19 Thanks Neil, did you remove the right hand static tensioner bearing as well as the one connected to the hydraulic tensioner? Mine is being a pain its 2 x 8mm hex bolts and they seem to have been attached by the Hulk. I was wondering if you had any pain with this ? The lower bolt is difficult to reach and I think i may need to remove the oil filler neck?

I am looking at buying a 3200GT and want to work on it myself, despite the likely pain & expense 🤦♂️This sort of information and effort is hugely appreciated and gives much hope to the idea of enthusiastically looking after projects like this by yourself. It's all part of what I see as the experience of owning exotics especially Italian! Thank you for this. I hope to able to refer back to these videos in the near future! 👌
Thanks Gareth. The problems you will see with owning one are quality of previous work, parts being run into the ground due to their cost, vague information about servicing. There are a number of very useful contacts you should make ifs getting one of these. Mike at the Maserati Shed and Eurospares. You should also get the official Maserati Workshop Manual. The 3200 is generally a pretty good car with a few foibles. Avoid the Cambiocorsnot

Great experience.. same issues that am being with... I even transform the manual transmission into Mercedes automatic transmission. It worked so sweet and fabulous.. Am thinking swap the engine soon.. So what are your recommendations please sir..?
