    You need to try a German braid SCB. The coefficient of friction is about 30% less compared to Parma style braid. I suspect that 1/2 a tenth is significant for that particular class of car, so worth a try.

      Hi Fabio. I have various sorts of SCB braid. Some are better suited for this class than others. It is a balancing act between front ride height, longevity (braid burn) and friction. I will certainly investigate the friction aspect more 👍🏻

      I love their braid.

    What thickness tape do you recommend? Your links for the UK. & US. Show two different thickness??

    EXCELLENT EXPLANATION. I PRINTED IT TO READ IN QUIET BED. ONE QUESTION: IS THE PREPARATION OF THE CHASSIS FOR EVERYONE THE SAME, OR IS IT EXCLUSIVELY MADE FOR CHAPON CHASSIS ..? HUG, AND KEEP IT WAY, BECAUSE ONE LEARNS. HUG, FROM ARGENTINA.

      Hi Daniel. You can follow these basic setup tips for all stamped chassis. 😁

    James. in an earlier video, I asked about inserting ball races for the rear axle. You said that you glued yours in. What sort of glue do you use? ☺

    • @CleaveTech
      @CleaveTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I will do a video on gluing in ball races and I will show the glue I use 👍🏻

    ABOUT THE PEG TUBES. CAN YOU PREPARE YOURSELF,? BECAUSE THOSE YOU HAD NOT GETTING HERE.

    • @CleaveTech
      @CleaveTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can get Red Fox pin tubes from Brazil. You can even make your own with brass and a lathe.

    HI HOW ARE THINGS. THIS PROCESS, THE TRUTH I HAVE NOT SEEN. MY QUESTION IS: WHY THEY FIX THE WHOLE CHASSIS, IT IS NOT BETTER FOR THE CHASSIS TO BE FLOATING SO THAT THE BODY HAS AERO DYNAMIC. ? OR IN THIS WAY, THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS ARE THE RODS, WHERE THE NEEDLES GO TO GRIP THE BODY. THAT'S WHAT GIVES YOU AERO DYNAMIC. ? THANK YOU. I WATCH ALL THE VIDEOS.

      Hi Daniel. I will try and answer your question…
      The setup of the chassis can depend on the type of body that is being used. With this class of chassis, there are many different rules around the world and even in the UK that allow different bodies; anything ranging from a saloon body to almost a wing car body.
      The gel tape can be cut so that it has more or less damping effect on chassis movement. Without the gel tape, the chassis will slide easily and the weight transfer will move fast and stop suddenly against the chassis stops. With the gel tape, you can control how much the chassis transfers weight and stop the weight from hitting the chassis stops.
      The floating pin tubes help to isolate the vibrations of the body from the chassis but still allow the downforce of the body to act on the chassis.
      Maybe if you had a very grippy track, with grippy tyres and lots of downforce, the gel tape would not be necessary.
