  • This could be the episode you were waiting for? This is the #slotcar #worldchampionship winning car. In this first part of a two part video I give some tech tips on #formula1 car setup and explain some of my findings about #motor choice.
    This is definitely a very #technical and #fast #motorsport
    Did you guess what the Formula One colour scheme is? It is a Force India.

    Great video!! Expert info is scare as hen's teeth here in the US. Much appreciated! Looking forward to the next. The process of obtaining a reliable gear mesh would be most helpful!! Certainly will help with participation in this class at the local level.

      Thanks for watching. Nice idea for a video. I will certainly make a video about getting g a good gear mesh with “inline” gears 👍🏻

    Way to go James. Ive tried the movable pivot on the guide concept. Couldnt get it to work.

      I’m not sure I like the “floating” or moveable front end idea, but it seems to work with 1/32 scale Euro Sport cars.

    Hello. As always, great videos! But as always, there are many questions. I would like to know which engine you have chosen in the end. Are the keels at the back of the body very important? We usually cut it to the same level... Why make wire conductors to the motor? What role do they play? And how did you connect the wire to the wire?

    • @CleaveTech
      @CleaveTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching again. The motor details will be revealed in the next video.
      The flaps at the rear of the body help to control the air and reduce turbulence, keeping the lower pressure area under the body for longer. They do not have as much effect on a F1 car as they would on a Euro Sport Car.
      I am not sure I understand what you mean by “wire conductors?”

    • @Fabio-ns4ql
      @Fabio-ns4ql ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CleaveTech I think he means the motor shunt wires.

      Well, here's a 14:45 video. Next to the red body model. From the current collector there is a red wire, then a wire and then a wire to the motor again... I apologize for my crooked English.

      @@maliysh-krepiysh Thank you, I understand now. That was a picture of another car raced by a different racer. The reason he made his wires like that was because they are slightly lighter and they stay in the same place when going round corners. He just removes the insulation from the solid wire and solders it to the flexible wire.

    Nice video. Do you fasten in ball bearing bearings? I yes, what preferred method?

    • @CleaveTech
      @CleaveTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kevin. The ball races are soldered into the chassis.

    Should get more speed with gears in the same plane.
