I think this road mileage test is realistic, In my own XUV700 AX7 Petrol AT (non-Luxury version) went on a drive of about 550km with ghat road approx.240km. I've seen the average mileage about 10-11km with Ac on all the time. I think once I get the first service done at 1000km, the mileage would improve. Thanks for this video.
Nothing is done at 1000 km service. Its just to ensure if everything is working fine. If the customer doesn't complain. They just tighten nutt bolts. Wash and send it back

He has also said that in peak rush hour traffic, figure will drop to 7. This is kind of the best case real world economy with almost no traffic, traveling alone with no load and AC off... Drivers who are managing just double figures are actually doing a great job, with a little bit of hustle for overtakes it will be far off from double digits !
Average Fuel Economy of Mahindra XUV 700 Petrol variant is 10 KMPL Diesel variant is 12 KMPL. XUV 700 comes with a 4 cylinder, 1997-2198 CC Engine, Turbo Petrol ith Direct Injection (TGDi) which can generate up to N/A power and 380 Nm @ 1750-3000 rpm torque.
While filling fuel always insist on filling fuel at slowest ,you'll get correct fuel to the liter, filling up at high delivery you'll get lesser fuel to the liter

I have shortlisted 3 CARS 1) XUV700 AX7 Petrol ( concerned about Automatic Mileage its 6Kmpl) - Waiting period is till 8+ Months. 2) JEEP COMPASS PETROL -LIMITED ( AGAIN millage is only 6-7) and 3 Passengers in the back is a challenger ( i have 5 Passenger requirement) 3) Hyundai Tucson ( Petrol Base Variant) it checks all my box and Loved this car...but have to extend my budget. Every day commute is Average 25KM..Bangalore is the World's slowest Traffic and it's crazy. PS : Tata Harrier i considered as it has everything, only thing i am worried about is Diesel with 10 years Limit, tough in bangalore we still have 15 years.

I drove XuV700 pet AT L for 300 km with AC all the time on Bangalore Chennai highway. Got 13.7 kmpl. Though it climbed to 16.3 once initially but then got settled to 13.7kmpl slowly
exactly, I get 18kmpl in verna 1600cc petrol......2018 model, @100kmph speed on highways. 16kmpl @120kmph. Dont be heavy footed driver, Xuv700 petrol can achieve 17kmpl, I m sure

Respectable. But the car was almost empty. With zero luggage. Usually a car of this size has least 4 people and equivalent luggage, especially for a highway run. That would be an additional 230 kgs, where as when this above test was done it was only one person meaning max 85 kgs.

I 'm planning to replace my scorpio with xuv 700. I did a TD of diesel automatic. I usually prefer buying diesel cars because I do my 90% of commutes in the car. I'm also using a diesel hatch. But now, my usage becomes limited and my interest shifted towards riding motorcycles. I 'm planning to use 2wheeler for solo rides. Therefore I like to consider petrol variant which usually not the popular option in SUVs. But other than the crysta, it's the only car that has a petrol engine with 7seats. I think it's not as poor as the innova in FE. I am yet test drive the petrol variant. Seeing the prices, the diesel still feels more value to me. So should I consider the petrol car over the diesel if my usage is not more than 6-7k km/year ? The choice is going to be Manual transmission because after doing TD, I felt the automatic is too much convenience for my liking and not sporty to drive.
Petrol motor...95 kmph...1500 rpm 😐 I do that on my Kia 1.5 Diesel and it can't keep the torque flow consistent....mStallion's torque will smoke most diesels in the market

@@sakrokz City milage is less but highway average is now up to 12KM which means it is going more than 12 if we take only highway. vehicle performance is really good my average KM per month is less than 1000 km so I am fine with petrol. I had some noise from rare side but it got fixed on first service, the road presence is really great. so far I am satisfied with Mahendra customer care and service

This is really good milage for 7 seater vehicle. However, Mahindra can make this good product great by providing a strong hybrid for the petrol engine. (even if strong hybrid has a range of about 40-50 kms, it may significantly improve the milage. Because, all said and done, EV may take years to stabilize in India. There is no power for residences itself so developing EV charging will definetely another decade.
I recently purchased XuV700 MX model and on full tank I am able to drive 600 kms with full tank and got 51 litres of petrol refilled, which gives around 12 kmpl mileage, will update ow much it give on highway !!

Hey Rijhal If you see the entire video, Bunny has said towards the end of the video that these are highway figures. In city, with traffic, he saw as low as 7 kmpl on the display and in flowing traffic, about 10kmpl. So yes, highway figures are always higher, for most cars :)

This was calculated without AC on. So it will further reduce if you keep the AC on. So it will be around 12 km/ltr even on highway.

7-8 is in city with traffic and ac..highway it gives 11-12 with 5 and luggage load..i have tested during my 650 km drive to goa

Xuv500 D AT mileage is 14 in my Delhi Gurgaon commute.. without AC and with 4 onboard..
Petrol would be 30-40% less.. so about 9-11..
Ac on it will be 2 km less.
Can we get 10 in normal city drive ac on ?

Check 4:03 you are on drive mode it shows as D then at 4:38 you are on manual mode I can see 6 on screen..😅
With manual this will be more 14 is not bad ..but since it's a seven seater you should put 7 people inside car and tested

Bull shit ! I own this car...I have driven in peak traffic...and got 8-9 and medium traffic close to 10 and in less traffic 10.5 plus.

If you see the entire video, Bunny has said towards the end of the video that these are highway figures. In city, with traffic, he saw as low as 7 kmpl on the display and in flowing traffic, about 10kmpl. So yes, highway figures are always higher, for most cars :)
Hey Rijhal Company has not claimed any mileage officially. If you are talking about 13.5 that's a number given to sales person for time being
