The install guide was perfect and i finally got to experience BTA3062 in all its glory. Well, that was until i started trying to play the game. I have sunk hundreds of hours into the original game and love it to bits but wanted to experience a different timeline with more mechs etc. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to generate any momentum in this version. Every mission i try from 0.5 to 1.5 has rookie AI pilots that can outshoot my commander who has gunnery 9. Most of these so called 'beginner' missions are way too hard and i cant begine to imagine what the tougher missions are like. Ive now got to the point where every one of my mechs is damaged and i cannot find or purchase the parts to repair them and i am unable to buy any new mechs from anywhere. Ive managed to increase standing with one faction to 15 but unable to proceed any further. This is actually my 3rd attempt at the 3062 campaign. I used to think it was tough grinding out the missions in the base game but this is just suicidal. I am sure some will enjoy the uber challenge but it seems to be pretty well unplayable and about as much fun as a day trip to the sewage works. I have just uninstalled BTA3062. Such a shame as it could have been amazing.
Ok the mod is awesome...but how do you uninstall it? Sorry it is awesome, but feels unpolished, always a bug, always a crash, always saves not loading, and getting endless load, a bunch of problems and very little game going on. I honestly dont remember experiencing this much 2years ago when I first tried the mod. Back then it was unstable, true, still very playable and enjoyable though.
If using steam go to the mods folder in your file explorer and delete it you can get there if you don't know how by browsing local files in properties of the game through steam. After you do that just validate your battletech files. Sorry I just found this mod myself or would've answered sooner :D
Too bad this mod is trash. Can't progress any further than 1 mission. After that I lose at least 1 pilot and 1 mech per mission and I can't repair any of them because none of the shops sell all the items needed to do so. 5/5 on the install guide. 1/5 on the mod actually being fun.

Update 15.1.1, can't get it to run on Steam Deck. It keeps going to the regular menu
Ive tried a bunch of different stuff with wine and had no luck with the deck. I cant even get the installer to recognize the folder the game is in

how do I change the Checkout Workspace location or uninstall the mod? Could not find any info on that on the wiki.
Assuming you're on Steam: delete everything in the Mods folder then verify the BATTLETECH game files.

BTA is no longer hosted on nexus mods so you don't need it. The install files are located on the wiki.
