  • In this lecture,we'll learn how to add decals and logos to 3D models in Blender.We're gonna use 2 different ways.Firstly,we're gonna add Blender logo to the t shirt by using shrinkwrap modifier.Then,We're gonna add this logo using texture painting stencil mapping.

    Your explanation was spot on. Watched other vids on this subject. But apparently they left some key procedures out. Like subdividing the plane. Thank you!

    👍👍 MK Graphics - I tried several YT tutorials and this one works! 😁 OUCH must select the correct axis or nothing happens. Ask me how I know that. 🙄

    I think instead of painting, you should directly use image texture and use texture coordinates to align it in front, that is non-destructive way.

    Right click drag doesn’t seem to work on blender 3.3. The image is static in the bottom left corner.

    Brilliant tutorial. I've seen the second method done a few times but youve explained it the best I've seen. The first method is not very good if youre going to animate the object and especially if you use motion blur on the objects. But the second method and indeed your tutorial are superb, thank you.

      Yes, you right i also animate car which need to place logo on body , 2nd method is working and first one for static image render not animation render,

  • @tco666

    hello, according to the first method, when I export a model and open it in another editor, the logo appears as a separate object, as it was before projection. how to update the textures after the modifier so that when exporting the model the logo was on the T-shirt and not next to it? Thank you for the video!

    • @GraphicsMK
      @GraphicsMK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Before exporting,apply the shrinkwrap modifier. Also try to join the objects together.

      @julius7506 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to first apply the modifier and then join both objects.

    but what about if u wanna bed the shirt with a armature and a decal. i tried the same thing as u. Then I parented the png to the bone. It works ok but when i bend the shirt with the armature to much the png clips in the shirt. well half of it

    • @GraphicsMK
      @GraphicsMK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Do u use shrinkwrap method for decal? If so, I really dont know how to bind to armature.But it works properly with texture painting method.

      @@GraphicsMK I figured it out. I parented it to the bone

      Pls use the second method(stencil) texture painting for animation.

    When I did the subdivide the image is still far away from the shirt.

    • @GraphicsMK

      Pls check ur shrinkwrap modifier settings. Be sure u use correct axis for projection.

      @@GraphicsMK I did but for some strang reason I can't get it to wrap around the cloth. But when I use subdivide modifiers. And target normal project setting. Then it kinda works.

    no no no you need to use NODES to add the image at the texture. A decal is a image texture stuff, NOT a modeling problem!! is not the correct mode. DON'T MAKE tutorial if you don't be a good blenderist.

    • @andredantasilvapb
      @andredantasilvapb ปีที่แล้ว

      What's the problem doing like the tutorial? Honest question. Also, wtf am I doing wrong that the decal disappears once I open the blend file again? I've already saved the logo with the "fake user" button.
