What amazes me about the Selectric is that, just when you think you've seen every problem that they could possibly have, they surprise you with something you never even considered. There's just so many little mechanisms in there, quietly doing their job until suddenly they're not, like this little clamping nut and bolt here.

At least those Bristol/spline wrenches are still made but somebody without the screw would be better off finding a hex or torx head replacement screw
