I second Bob Marshall's excitement of seeing you make it to the type-in! You captured some great footage of the event and Ted Munk captured some amazing photos of a lot of happy little machines being worked away!
Good having Andi there Joe, thanks for bringing her. Always a pleasure to catch up with you and chat about our services and love for our favorite writing machines.
It looks like a great time! Susan and i stayed at that hotel last year when we were there. Once again, Brian Goode did a great job! I hope that we can come next year! In the meantime, we need to get y'all to come to a Texas type-in.
Joe, When are you going to write a book about the typewriter. I just read the Typewriter Revolution by Richard Polt, and it would be great to see your take on the subject.
Awe she got you the tickets to go, see I told you dancing in the kitchen! ❤ Man, Joe, I want to go to one of these, when I'm free from my issues you know of off YT here, I plan to start a NC Eastern Type In. Lots of great footage of typing and people with the machines, all music to my ears. Awesome turn out! Had I known you're going, would have said tell Ted I said hello. We've had some dialogue in the past with him discussing an SG-1...which I'm still looking for, that my Wife doesn't know...lol George Carlin, ah yes, I went to one of his shows Diseased I think it was, I laughed so hard my ribs hurt a solid 4 days later. Being a fan for man years hearing him on the radio the Hippy Dippy Weather Guy, and yes he'd say it's 94 at the airport which is stupid nobody lives at the he airport. Tonight's weather: Dark, lots of darkness until tomorrow. Tomorrow morning weather will be filled with day, lots of Sunshine and Light! 😆 😆😆👍 Beautiful day and what a great time to be there with Mrs. Joe Van Cleave. Had I been there I'd buy ya a drink at a bar I absolutely belong to in both dream and art, looks like they have coffee there, great choice, brings in both kinds of writers. Thumbs up as always, be sure to check your messages. 👍 Thank you Joe for this awesome video!❤
Contd. I wouldn't get a screw driver anywhere near any of my machines. I'm having a hard time changing the ribbon on my IBM Selectric 2. I'm ready to thwow in the towel.LOL
Thank you for the video Joe. Hello to all the Typepals friends that attended and happy Birthday to Madam Van Cleave!
Daniel
Very Cool
Happy birthday to Mrs. van Cleave! Great video. Ted’s gorgeous books are magnificent in the hand, I hope to collect them all too one day.
Loved the interviews and vignettes of seeing people at the event. Learned about three new things in this one video alone!
Hey, that looks like a great time! Thanks for the excellent report :D
Thanks for making it fun for me!

Thank you, Joe! This was the next best thing to being there. I was so disappointed I couldn’t make it this year. Fingers crossed for next year!
We missed you!😭
Thanks, Joe! Good to see you and your view of the day!
It’s great to know the typosphere is alive and well, even if the typecasting blogs aren’t what they used to be.

The event was so much fun. But I have to ask, why THAT photo. Haha. I look like I’m about to sneeze.
Type-in time! Settling down with a little recovery food after a bike ride.
