But part of singing is tonal quality which Whitney and some women have (some males have great velvety tones like Whitney, but many males sound better with a huskier tone). I guess he male"ified" it well. But it isn't better than the original.

But that said... how many white and Asian contestants on all those cornball talent shows really do impersonations of black singers, but without actually admitting, "I will now sing like a black girl." Why do they do that? Well, it's like tofu. Mix it with something tasty, it's fine. But it has no flavor of its own.
He almost sounds like he has the range of a castrato. Time to dust off some of that old sheet music written specifically for castratos. I would love to hear him sing Ave Maria.
