Tons of terrible ones too - but it all adds up to a good thing how many Filipinos love to sing in public. They will always take the microphone even when they are otherwise shy. I'm in Los Angeles, a city that is the home to many Filipinos and experience their love of singing frequently. I remember having a simple but invasive medical procedure years ago in a local hospital. Two Filipina-American nurses sat at my side and sung to me throughout the procedure in very soft voices. They asssumed I'd be stressed and wanted to soothe me. They weren't good singers but it was so incredibly sweet and did soothe my soul for the rest of the day.
The people in the background are actually strangers They're saying "girl, for sure youre gonna viral(and she is now a tiktor local star) " "amazing, we'll have someonenew to watch( she meant tv)" " you'll be like (most popular singer here in the Philippines), girl" And etc.
Filipinos are some of the most loving and supportive people out there. I used to live in an area surrounded by Filipinos as a kid and they were so nice. When I waited for the school bus to pick me up, there were always a few Filipino moms or grandmothers waiting with their kids/grandchildren. They would bring me always ask me how my morning was or if I ate yet (they always brought breakfast or snacks out there). It was just me and my mom living at our tiny home so the Filipinos in my area would always invite us over to their family parties. I love Filipinos.

This is common in the Philippines, there are voice gems in every corner of every street. We filipinos love singing, to the extent that with each karaoke we have that number memorized that we don't need to look at the songbook just dial it in. Also, we tend to battle for turns on singing.
I noticed that when watching X Factor. It seemed that everyone from the Philippines was very talented! I wonder what makes you guys more talented vocally than other countries. Is it a cultural thing or maybe genetics? Or maybe both?
@@valiw5118 it's cultural. Voices are trained and molded. If you grow up in a musical environment and you have even just a tiny bit of ability to hold a tune, chances are you will develop great singing skills. You see the same phenomena in Baptist churches. There are a ton of popular professional singers that wish they had a voice like that!
Yeah that makes sense 😁
The key is proper restraint, control, and the shape of your vowels:))) once you master that, vibrato comes easily, as does power with breath support. I’ve been a professional singer for a while now:) oh also, it depends on the day and the song sung by the singer. She was clearly in a great vocal place that day:))) but every singer has days where they sound almost completely amateur😂😅it’s natural:) but she definitely nailed this performance!
There are a lot of ‘professional’ singers who can’t actually sing, if it wasn’t for the sound engineers

The Philippines is the land of great singers! They can sing as good if not even better than the original singers.

Filipinos are some of the most loving and supportive people out there. I used to live in an area surrounded by Filipinos as a kid and they were so nice. This is common in the Philippines, there are voice gems in every corner of every street. We filipinos love singing, to the extent that with each karaoke we have that number memorized that we don't need to look at the songbook just dial it in. Also, we tend to battle for turns on singing.
That's so cute! I love it. thank you for sharing about your culture
Some people want to say it's because of their race, but my Ecuadorian friend grew up in a baptist church and sings with just as much soul as an AA person.
it's gotta be the rice, sinigang or adobo! Remember that "Bunot" kid? Petmalu!
