Haha, your small bathroom scenario was my first Korean apartment - for a year! My shower was squeased in literally over the central bathroom basin, toilet on the right, washing machine on the left, complete with black mould under the washing machine. I had to stand on the washing machine pipe - the one that emptied the used washing machine water onto the floor. The room was less than 1 x 3 metres. This was in a small country town, though. Luckily my school moved me...
And yes! There is definitely a benefit to these types of bathrooms, if they aren't built on a pocket handkerchief! Western bathrooms with screens and tubs are, for me now, pretty stupid and cleaning intensive. If I built a bathroom again in my western country, it would be more Korean style, just with a partition between basin and shower.

팁을 주셔서 감사합니다. So useful, I'll be there this week. I want to enjoy the view but not be tourist-trapped. 😅

Hey Billy have you ever done one on the "아서야" pattern? Always mean to drop in on a live class, but I'll just randomly drop it in the comments I guess. Keep up the great content!

Yes I've done that form before :D Here's one example where I explain exactly how ~야 is used by itself: th-cam.com/video/YLM-XL7LW5g/w-d-xo.html

@@GoBillyKorean Thanks, Billy! I think that was my issue. I mistakenly thought that 아서야 was a new construct rather than a combination of grammar forms.

@@RickCarlino I've had that same thing happen to me SO many times ;-)

Tipping: EXACTLY the same in Australia and most other countries. Tipping is ONLY an American thing - except for unscrupulous businesses who are trying to take advantage of you as a very naive American. PLEASE don't tip in other countries. Tipping is a disgusting thing that happens in America because businesses don't pay their people properly. Other countries pay their staff a REAL wage, so tipping is NOT required in ANY other country. People in other countries do NOT want that disgusting American cultural thing in their country!! If you get asked, to tip in any other country, you're getting completely ripped off - in ANY other country!! PLEASE don't do it!!
