Absolutely! I actually just rewatched the first movie and while I will say that the episodes do actually start as quick as the film, it’s the dread and suspense in the unraveling and the reveals and that actual time spent with Josef, observing his character where the films excel.
Little bummed to hear that the episodes are only half an hour. I’ll likely still watch it when all of them are released, as I loved the first two films as well. But damn, the buildup to the last ten/fifteen minutes was what made the movies so unsettling. Uncomfortable slow burns are among my favorite horror flicks, and I can already tell a half hour at a time won’t do it. Maybe hour long episodes would’ve been better and if they were gonna do, say, 10 episodes, have two episodes per victim. At that point, it’s basically like 5 new Creep movies, but I agree that the last few episodes should give us an indicator what happened Creep 2.
Your thoughts are spot-on with mine; both of the films’ endings are iconic. And like you said; it’s the buildup to the shocking conclusions that make them such uncomfortable but fantastic horror watches. Again- I admire the idea behind this premise, but it just doesn’t have room to bring in what made the movies work so well :/
I was in a QnA with patrick brice, they want to do another season with more episodes (and maybe longer too?) if this first season is sucessful ao hopefully we can keep this going!
@@videounavailablefilms I’m glad they’re addressing more Creep for the future! I definitely see them already doing a second season just because there is only 6 episodes, they’re only 27 minutes; this definitely seems like a testing-the-waters kinda season.
@@Bighossss you know, I was thinking the exact same thing, I just don’t wanna assume yet. I’m hoping there’s some sort of confirmation… I really wanna know what happens after that second film.
@@PragmaticAddict same here I think she’s still alive even with the ending it had i think he let her go but I was reading the description for ep 3 and it looks like his brother will be in it too and we need to know who that girl was on the phone in the first movie when aaron called her she said she was his sister and we still haven’t gotten anything for that
@@Bighossss oh that makes things super interesting… I wonder why kind of role his brother will play. Do you think any of the tapes’ victims will be of his own family maybe??
@@PragmaticAddict unfortunately it won’t because his first kill was actually someone trying to kill him💀 and it was when he was a teenager and that’s when he said he discovered his purpose so probably right after that but his first kill on purpose could very well be a tape
@@PragmaticAddict that could be very interesting maybe his mom is the one who made the mask? I think all of the roots of his problems lead back to his mom he must’ve had a bad childhood
@@Bighossss yeah, the final episode is actually titled “Mom (and Albert)”, maybe Albert is his step father, or maybe it’s a guy he killed and his mother knew about it.
Still have fond memories of the first two films
Thanks for reviewing this and yeah the episode should of been a least a hour long

@@PragmaticAddict that's what they said it was. Mostly testing to see if there was even demand
I’m very conflicted I wanna say these are all after the second one because of the grey hair but they could just be trying to ignore that

@@PragmaticAddict I honestly think he’s gonna try to kill his mom and brother in the trailer he’s laying next to a gravesite by his mom
We already know who his first victim was I wish it would show the tape number because he said he’s made 40 of them
@@Bighossss yeah, i remember he talks about it in one of the films, can’t remember which film it was though.

The first episode felt like a shorter version of the first movie very very good imo

@@PragmaticAddict same I’m really looking forward to seeing who his mom is and I guarantee through his mom we’ll finally know his actual name

I was disappointed. Creep tapes isn't good - it's highly predictable, lacks tension & is boring. The worst thing Mark has made🙈🥺
@@HollyHargreaves I’ll keep watching just to see what the series fully has to offer but I agree, not nearly what the films were.
