    I doubted the program of AA until I made a decision to go all in 100% and cut off all my excuses, and after 6 years, I have no regrets.
    If i can do it, anyone can do it. ❤️🔥💯

    I had the book, I threw it out. I feel so bad. They bought me two books in the meetings, I was such a jerk. Thank you. This helps a lot. I started to drink at work every day. I knew where I was headed. All BS aside.

    Use yourself as your higher power. Your higher self or conscientious. Looking outside of yourself for answers will just make you lost. Hey ! The kingdom of heaven lies within, that's where you look.

      Luke 1:37 "For nothing will be impossible with God."
      Put your faith in Christ Jesus and He will set you free from sin, John 8:34/36 "truly i say unto you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin "...So if the Son makes you free you shall be free indeed." He will begin the sanctification process through His Holy Spirit but your part is to be faithful going through the process Matthew 5:30 "And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell". It won't be easy it won't be fun and the withdrawals and temptations will come but stand strong on His word spend time daily in it and continue to walk in the Spirit and you will not gratify the desire Galatians 5:16 " walk in the spirit and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh."
      🙏

    Ive been sober for years. Some of these guys want molestation with men to be my issue. I’m an endurance swimmer, a certified coach, and a homeless Rockstar. I can’t leave the program; I’m slandered by the public as an estimable man. Give me a break and let me live my life! I deserve to have decent income, an apartment and the girl of my dreams. I deserve to have an attorney on call.

    The problem with a faith-based program such as Alcoholics Anonymous ... is that if an alcoholic has a relapse ... the guilt and depression can be compounded because of not only disappointing self ... but much more traumatic ... of the certainty that one has disappointed God.

    • @culhaneboys
      @culhaneboys 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If one has a view of God as punishing rather than loving then that could be the case. The AA Big Book and the AA program does not endorse a God that is going to be disappointed but rather is a loving God that only wants to help us be our best selves and realizes we will make mistakes.

    • @junevandermark952
      @junevandermark952 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@culhaneboys My point is ... that if you depend on a god to help you quit drinking alcohol ... and you fail to quit drinking alcohol ... YOU will not only feel that you let yourself down ... you will feel that you disappointed "God" ... and that is much worse than the feeling of disappointing only your self.
      An Atheist that slips back into alcohol addiction will be disappointed ONLY in the self.

    • @junevandermark952
      @junevandermark952 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@culhaneboys I was raised in a Christian culture ... and Christianity does not teach that "God" is all about love.
      Example: Even Protestants and Catholics do not believe that each other will be allowed in heaven ... because they perceive each other as being heretics.
      Alcoholics Anonymous is not being truthful with those who join their organization.

    No offense, but TH-cam videos on the 12 steps will do little to help addiction. You have to go to a meeting and get a sponsor. It's clear that anyone in an AA or NA meeting will be more helpful than this. I really appreciate you trying, but I don't recall you mentioning anything about going to a meeting, the single most important thing. One day at a time. The first badge is the most important one and the one most likely to change your life. Thank you for this. Please encourage others to go to meetings.

    Not one of the Twelve Suggested Steps mention, 'You,' 'God as you understand Him', 'You have to,' or 'You must.' 'How it works,' page 58, does mention, 'A manner of living which demands rigorous honesty.'

      The Capacity to be honesty, were not saints. The steps are just suggestions, you do all the steps, you will end up back at step 1. I used the Sex Pistols as my higher power, Never mind the BOLLOCKS!!!

    The fact that the 12 steps are the oldest means nothing. Thats exactly why they should be discarded. Either addiction is a disease or it isnt. Dont tell me on the one hand that addiction is a real medical disease, and then in the next breath refer me to a cult. Makes no sense, never will, this society missed the mark, im fucking done.
