  • Very powerful workshop by one of my favorite AA speakers, Polly P. One of the great things about this set of talks is that they go more in-depth about TONS of topics pertinent to recovery. LINK to Part 2: • Polly P. - AA Speakers...
    This workshop by Polly is life-changing and extremely powerful! It covers way too many topics to list here, but this is a MUST LISTEN for sure for anyone in recovery from alcoholism!
    It is important to note there are several ways for one to address his or her alcohol abuse treatment. Substance abuse is a very serious condition and has become an epidemic in today's world. Many people suffering with substance abuse need treatment, such as inpatient stays, rehab, or counseling. The importance and purpose of this video, and all our other videos, is to show that recovery IS possible and to give hope to those who are struggling with alcohol and drug addiction issues. Help IS out there!
    Every tape is carefully selected to ensure its quality and that it is entertaining to listen to. You can trust Odomtology 12-Step Recovery Media to be synonymous with the best online recovery material out there. QUALITY is our mission. This is why we have such a large and engaged following. I went to my first AA meeting at 59 years old, separated from my wife, living in an old RV in a friend's back yard, hopelessly drifting from one drunk directly into the next. I had even given up on suicide and threw away the noose I carried in the back of my car for months because I didn't even deserve the peace of death. I am now happier than I knew a human being can be, living a life of Kindness, Forgiveness, Gratitude, and Respect. Hitting bottom was the best thing that ever happened to me.

      Thank you Jonathon Hathaway. I was once a Hathaway .When I married my first high school sweet heart. His name was John Hathaway. He's passed now from this awful disease. When I saw John drinking himself to death,it woke me up. I did not want my life to be like John's. I'm almost 6 years sober now. By the Grace of God. Learning to live on life's terms. And became willing to surrender my will to the Holy Spirit s. We are connected. We are never alone. Ask Him to reveal himself to you and God will.Never give up. Love always wins. Glory to God

    This is sooo me I'm absolutely blown away from the father being a raging alcoholic flipping the furniture he never laid a hand on my mother but he was always in those moods you got to watch out for those moods I'm proud to say my dad has been clean and sober for 15 years.. I'm so relieved in away thanks so much God bless this beautiful woman ❤️🙏❤️🙏 I've been this way for sooo long I've been really been tortured by my thoughts and feelings and this is spot-on the way I am is my perception and I've been realizing that the last few months that you know what maybe these thoughts and feelings are not real because it just seemed way too often and it consumes me and I've been praying so hard and I just turned one of my I've been watching videos on TH-cam and this just came on after I was struggling with intrusive thoughts and feelings and worries and my perception even like I always think people are upset or I feel like I can read people's minds for crying out loud it's absolutely crazy nonsense I always think I know what people are thinking and feeling and what moves are in and this and that and that in this and just constant fear I'm just full of fear I'm driven by fear and I've been cleaning sober dry clean and sober and spiritually absolutely broken and sick the five years that I've been sober so I'm glad I'm finally moving forward and understanding this whole send in a better way the clearer way thank God Amen apologize if anyone reads this I use talk and text, ❤️🙏😊 this woke me up in away I can't even describe... I've been suffering for so long sober for 5 years suffering and I mean suffering more than I've ever suffered in my life paralyzed crippled with anxiety fear I barely go out I barely do anyting because of my brain taking control over me my feelings taking control over me that are all negative negative and false but I am choosing to give in and believe them... I hope and pray to Father God that I can relieve and he can take these old Nature's out of me Cricket permanently I no longer blind and I can see please and thank you Father God Amen I know I'm spiritually mentally broken and I definitely is sponsoring to do the steps I'm willing and ready I've been looking for a sponsor for months now I want someone that's going be Stern with me that is many years recovered and that I can definitely identify with I hope and pray to you father God that I you put a good sponsor into my life and people in my life that can help me so one day I can help others and do your will thank you Father God I love you we love you hallelujah amen❤️🙏❤️🙏I

    I’m currently the lead guitarist in a nyhc, punk band…. My band members brought my drinking to my attention the other week…. Between their support and the support of online Alcohol Anonymous I’m on the road to recovery…. 1 day at a time I’m reconnecting with the marc who could have a good time without alcohol and slowly coming to terms with the fact have disease….

    Polly, this is the first time listening to this recording of you speaking, giving a workshop for your 2nd time ever. You were amazing then and are amazing now, Oct. 2021. When you spoke, you and Dave were married only 12 years. Today, it's just turned 40. I know that because my Guyana and I will celebrate 40 in Mar. 2022. God bless you and Dave. ❤🤗😍

    If I don't have emotional sobriety or some semblance thereof I cannot work my program. It's that important.

    • @bugsrme1408
      @bugsrme1408 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My emotional sobriety only comes as i work it. Meaning-typically when I'm feeling the least healthy and so far from any semblance of emotional sobriety I'm spot on growing if I press in to my step work, meditation, meetings and making personal contact with my sponsor and members. It's like giving birth! I believe the secret is revealed once I understand it's not about the alcohol or the alcoholic (AA/ALANON) but as you said emotional sobriety!
