George, that most everyone wants to be your friend, while having so much respect for you, speaks volumes. You are a genuinely nice person. You remind me of my deceased husband in that regard. I want to be your friend, too! Lol.
Well, the more the better! Perhaps we'll get to connect more here or in the real world. I try to take everyone at face value and hope they will do the same, I'm glad that shows!
This is such a sweet comment and so very true. Very much appreciate your kind heart and level noggin, George. Always enjoyable and informative. The distinct lack of snark is refreshing. 😊
The thing I appreciate about you, is how you don't mind sharing your knowledge with your "flipping friends"! They all come to you to verify their finds and buy your wonderful products. Thank you for being so kind to all those who come to visit your booth!
George, I'm new here. Discovered you by watching several other youtubers such as Crazy Lamp and Niche ladies. Everyone always mentions you with such great respect in your knowledge and enjoyment in your company. I have now watched several videos and must comment that you are one of the nicest people on TH-cam. Your ready smile, your uplifting attitude, and your CLEAR extensive knowledge of antiques and collectibles is awe inspiring. The best part was seeing how much you enjoyed seeing your online and url friends/customers/other creators!!! You are a joy and your selection of goods are something to drool over!!! (So sorry about your van :( )
I am so glad to hear this! Very thankful for the support of Crazy Lamp Lady, The Niche Lady and everyone else in this community. I am happy to see people being excited about antiques and vintage again, and hope there will be much more fun to bring you!
George, hands down one of the kinder spirits I've seen. we are all here with you. the sun always shine brighter after the storm. glad everything worked out well for you. blessings.
George It was such a thrill meeting you in person and I am just so very appreciative of being included in your video!! What an exciting event to celebrate our love for antiques as well as enjoying a beautiful (albeit HOT☀) weekend with all the wonderful members of this community!❤❤❤
You're rolling with the punches George, you will live a longer, healthier life! George you have some fantastic things to sell there. You have a great eye for cameo's. Everything is sparkling clean, shiny and laid out beautifully. I have no right to it but I'm always proud of how you do things!
My husband and I came to the show on friday. I watch you and quite a few other TH-camrs and was hoping to see someone while I was there, but no such luck. It made me a little sad, but I had such a wonderful time and found some great deals and interesting things. Thanks for the knowledge you share and for sharing others channels, that is kind and broadens our thrifting world. Keep up the enjoyable videos.
So many you tubers heading your way, no fear you and your merchandise would have got there. Thanks to the dealership for making this video possible. Subscribers would have been there for you to.
Thank you. I missed this extravaganza by a week, visiting a friend in Ohio. So glad to see what you have and I love the teaching you do, so understandable and appreciated. Thank you for your videos
wonderful finds! So much fun to see the other utubers that I watch regularly. As always thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have been reselling since March and have learned so much from you.
Poor Leroy was probably a bit chagrined to have failed his buddy George. Sounds like it was a profitable show & glad you were able to go. Bonus, you got to meet up with other resellers & youtubers.
It sold for about $200...the Tequila Sunrise is a neat and seldom seen treatment despite only being 20 years old...I'm glad I got to do it and it was so fun to see everyone!
You always bring the best stuff! Looks like all your visitors were happy to see you as always. I have the brass mirror with Bacchus on it! I got it for $25 but it is missing a candleholder one the bottom (:

Where are you coming to in Florida in two months? I'd love to come see you! Hopefully its not in an area that is recovering from Ian. We really got walloped.
Thanks for the great tour and information about your items! I noticed an item with Montreal written with beads - my home town 🙂 Could you please tell me what it was? Was it attached to the brass piece below? I've been watching various thrifting TH-cam channel for only a couple months, but most seem to steer clear of souvenir items. Do you have a different philosophy? Also wondering if you have been to Montreal or are headed here (or nearby) in the near future? 😃 I know your pain - I've had several repairs to do on my car in the last month!
Hi there! It was not attached to it, that was a whimsey which is a microbeaded pillow sewn generally by First Nations tribes and sold to tourists. They were particularly popular at Niagara Falls, that one is a later piece from around 1950. I want to see Montreal very much someday! My condolences on the car repairs. I love souvenir items, it's more about knowing which ones have buyers now and which are too obscure (or too common) to be of value.
Good evening, George! OMG!!!!! Transmission work is not cheap! I do hate that for you!!! I saw the $1200.00 price roll across the screen...that was CHEAP for transmission work! What were the ivory coloured fish in the jewelry case? I kind of liked those. I saw that Fenton epergne there. That is one of the main things I miss about Fenton not being still in operation. Are there other glass makers still making epergnes? If you still have the Wade Peter Pan...I might well be interested in that piece! Those roosters got my attention. I have quite a number of the rooster and hen sets from my grandparents. I've always liked those. Was that a 1963 Cadillac model kit, or a promo car there? That caught my eye, too. It was in a box. Thanks for the take-along!!!!!
I was so lucky, I stopped right away and the fluid poured out so I didn't fry it! The ivory fish are marine ivory from Alaska, one is a pin and one is a flat piece with no mount...I also just got a tusk Billiken (3") and a tiny Billiken charm. The Fenton pieces I miss are the really showy ones like that, I fear the epergne may be a lost art. I'm sorry to say Peter Pan flew away with another buyer at the show...the car was a model, but I'm about to come in to a bunch of promo cars, stay tuned! I loved the B&H sconce, their metalwork is my favorite of that era. So glad you had fun with us!
@@TheAntiqueNomad Whew! You cut it close 😆 That could've turned into a devilish expense. I liked those marine ivory fish. I display those right alongside Northwood, Imperial, Dugan, etc. Ohhh...😞 That Peter Pan was something I would've been really interested in buying from you...I actually sent you an email just after the premier about it😆 I might have to see if I can locate one of those online😉 The promo cars will be interesting to see! Pretty much anything B & H made I like. Their products were definitely quality.
I should think one of the glass makers would start making epergnes and other lavish pieces! Mosser does make some good stuff, it seems heavy to me for epergnes and such though. I'm so sorry I didn't have Peter Pan for you, hopefully one comes our way soon. B&H is a personal favorite of mine
@@TheAntiqueNomad Maybe, with the quality Mosser puts into their glass, they could likely have the finesse to make a more lightweight glass, when it would come to making epergnes. I'd definitely like to see them give it a go and see what they could do making an epergne.
