You are absolutely right. The best series ever. GREAT story, awesome acting from the leads to the minor roles, awesome soundtrack, incredible cinematography... Apart from the OST which comes with a nice photobook, there is a photo essay as well (500+ pages). I found it more or less by by accident. Try to get your hands on a copy, it's the most gorgeous book you can imagine. Absolutely stunning if you are a book enthusiast and definitely a treat if you want to return to the experience of watching the series (yep, I bought the DVDs as well 😁)! PS I like your reactions! 😊

Oh my gosh! My most fave kdrama ever. Mr. Sunshine is a very superb drama. From the cinematography, the actors, the plot, the story, the costumes, dialogues, characters, the script and directorship is awesome. I've been into kdrama since 2007 and this is one of the best so far. Fyi: the scriptwriter, Kim Eun Sook of Goblin and Descendants of the Sun is the same scriptwriter of Mr. Sunshine. She is a very talented writer. I am her fan. She collaborated with the same director, Lee Eung Bong with all these excellent dramas and these 3 dramas were very popular kdramas in South Korea and I guess, the world. Thank you for featuring one of their OST. Please do watch also Goblin, the lonely god (fantasy drama) and Descendants of the Sun (love story between a military man and a doctor in which the two main actors got married in real life). I’m 2 yrs. late but I have been watching the series and I fell in love with the music so I am holding out watching the last episode. Ordered the CD that is how awesome the music is!!! I am avoiding the last episode because I know it will be a heartbreak for me.

IMO, 'The Day' deserves to be called 'a representative ost' of 'Mr. Sunshine' considering the lyrics expressing greatly the theme and the historical background of it and the magnificent, elegance n classical performance played by an orchestra (with a drum) and chorus. All those elements matched so perfectly with this kind of drama. Besides, the heavenly, beautiful voice of PHS and his expressions n vocal ability singing this are unbeatable. Just an amazing singer!

That drama is sooo addictive, loved everybody in it, the acting is amazing, even from the actors that you only see once it doesn´t matter how small their role is, great cinematography, great story, I started seeing it and got a friend of mine addicted to it also, I waited for her to catch up so we could see the end at the same time and we also kept craving for that kiss between the main leads :) . I believe the noble girl represented Jimin/Korea! The betrothed man didn’t want to marry her, Eugene always felt that Korea was against him, and the slave kid, who watched his mother die, hated Korea and it’s noble people, but loved her. The romances were destined to fail. The ending was tragic.
You guys should try My Mister. My personal No. 2 show of all time, after Mr. Sunshine, of course. And I'd argue with anyone that this isn't just a TV series. It is cinematography at it's finest, big screen or otherwise. Near flawless, as good as it gets. I'd say it beats Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones isn't even close.
