@@DoorKnob890 - Excellent riding right there!! My offices were in San Diego, and riding out of there was awesome! Riding to Palomar was always a super fun ride!

We lived near there before we moved to Tennessee a few years ago, and that was a super fun road! The Ortega Highway was fun, as was the ride up to Big Bear, but Palomar was super fun and very technical. It's a great place to refine trail braking skills, but ride too fast or you'll be dead. Here in Tennessee, I've found what I'd consider the best riding in the entire country. I've been in 49 states so far (except Alaska), and the riding here in northeastern Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky are simply fantastic!!

The Ortega Highway is considered the most dangerous road in So Cal. It has claimed many lives over the years. But, it is definitely a beautiful drive with biker bars at the top and close to the bottom.

@@firebirdlover4460 - Yup. Those sheer cliff walls are painted red with blood from riders who couldn't handle their bikes. Sad.

San Diego county has some of the best motorcycle roads in the entire country.... And the best weather.. this is just one of many grade roads.. East grade is called the fast side.. South grade the tight side...

On a bagger, I like the east grade better. More open, sweeping turns. No first gear switchbacks. Save the south grade for something made for cornering.
