The two episodes I love are these, the one where Laura gets her toe stuck in the tub faucet while in a hotel room, the other is the one where she delivers Richie. Both are hilarious and genuinely make me laugh even thought I've seen them several times each.
One of my favorite shows. Me and my sisters would walk home for lunch from school eat a delicious home made lunch then settle in to watch before we had to go back to school. Best childhood days. ❤
My favorite episode and is still absolutely hilarious is the one where Rob thinks they were given the wrong baby at the hospital. He even puts an ink pad on the baby's foot to compare it to the one taken at the hospital.
My favorite too. Just saw this one a couple of weeks ago, in late night syndication. I had seen it several times before and of course knew how it would turn out, but enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time I saw it, many years ago.
Don’t waste your time with corrections. If they respond at all it’s just a robotic prepared reply that thanks you, hearts you and then asks what your favorite episode is like we’re all mental defectives who only blither.
Thank you, I caught that too! This guy narrating doesn't even know how to pronounce Buddy's last name, or that the living room was NOT on both sides in different episodes. It makes you wonder if he ever even saw the show.
You know facts, why is it you always get a fact or 2 wrong? Adam West never did appear on The Dick Van Dyke show. Not one episode. I knew I never saw him and I googled it, Also, Morey Amsterdam's character was pernounced Buddy Sore-El . You just show me you were not true fans of the show. It's like you look up these facts just to have something to to put on youtube, but I really wonder how many episodes you really personally saw.
@@FactsVerse I would think you were a little annoyed with me, pointing out your mistakes. OK, How about facts The Adventures Of Superman, if you haven't done it, all I ask is please get study your facts a little more thoroughly before you post your videos/
@@wiseguymaybeSpeaking of Superman, Buddy Sore-El? 🤣 If Buddy was a blood relative of Kal-El aka Superman, he did a far better job of disguising his Kryptonian nature than Clark Kent ever did.
@wiseguymaybe, you’ve only scratched the surface of the mistakes in this video. How about Sid Caesar not being on an episode or how could an episode be banned for 60+ years when it’s only 58 years old??? Also, I don’t remember at any time where the front door was to the left of the living room.
My favorite memory is that there really wasn't a bad episode out of the 158 episodes. All were good; of course some were better than others. The baby switch episode was great in part because it portrayed a black and white couple getting along in a very cordial, innocent way and having a good laugh together. But not's all. The episode where Rob and Laura inadvertently dyed their hands black just before an awards dinner in Rob's honor given by a civic rights group was also tastefully done and came off in a very charming, well spirited, and comedic way.
Great ensemble of Characters and Guest Stars. We never missed an episode. The “Walnut” Episode was one of my favorites, but there were soooo many that were memorable! Dick Van Dyke is a multi-talented gem 💎 each of the characters surrounding Rob and Laura brought their own expertise in Comedy to the Episode. Carl Reiner was a genius in his own right as well! Mr. Van Dyke used to watch our high school track meets in Encino, CA. Can still remember his Jaguar XKE. 😊
I have the entire series on DVD and have watched every episode multiple times. I love the fact that they talk openly about the Jewish faith. On the other hand I see the subservient role that women played back in the day and it does make me cringe just a bit. To the best of my knowledge Larry Matthews and Dick Van Dyke are the only living cast members left. One of the best memories from my childhood, sitting on the floor with my family watching it together❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🐶🐱
Great show with lots of memorable episodes. But I always found it odd that Rob would come home from work and try to kiss Laura just to stop him and introduce two house guests who he just left at work. And then acts like he hasn’t seen them in years
Saying the episode was banned implies that it hasn't been aired over all these decades. Which is, of course, untrue. I can't tell if this is incompetence or a deliberate attempt to impart false information.
It is a great show. Too bad almost all of the original cast are no longer with us. Dick will be turning 99 later this year in December. O watch it throughout the week.
Al Almost 100% sure Sid Caesar was never a guest on the Dick Van Dyke Show. Only the barest of slightly less than that almost 100% sure, Adam West never was on that series. The connection to Reiner and Caesar may have caused the conflation. The conflation with Van Williams (“Green Hornet” following Adam West’s “Batman”), who did appear in an episode, may have led to the assumption that it was West who was on some episode or other. West did share roles with Tyler Moore, I believe, on various Warner Bros. detective show series’ of the late-‘50s/early-‘60s. I hedge because in my long life I had occasionally been so “100% sure” of things that I literally would have felt secure betting my life on my certainty. My life is as long as it has been so far because, fortunately, I do not believe in gambling.
@ Well, having mentioned the Warner detective series’ of the ‘50s/‘60s: 77 Sunset Strip. I can’t grasp why it has barely been rerun at all in all these generations gone by… and never put on DVDs - or VHSs before that.
So many episodes come back, one that sticks in my head is Alan Brady talking to his toupees on the manikin heads telling them they were out of business after Laura's appearance on a game show.

I have every episode and the living room was never located to the left of the front door. Your continuity comment is false.
The room wasn't a stiff structure. It was changed for certain camera angles. There wasn't even an actual ceiling.
My favorite episode and is still absolutely hilarious is the one where Rob thinks they were given the wrong baby at the hospital. He even puts an ink pad on the baby's foot to compare it to the one taken at the hospital.

Brilliant.
I agree! Great episode!
Without a doubt, the best episode!
One of my many favorites was Laura opening Rob's mail...and then opening the inflatable raft! 😊😅
It's a shame that the narrator never watched the show.
It is Buddy Sorr-'ell. The accent is on the second syllable.

This show was one of my favorites as a kid growing up in the 60s.
My favorite part of any DVD show was when they would occasionally mention my childhood hometown of New Rochelle.
Interesting, thanks for sharing! What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
"Coast to Coast Big Mouth" is my favorite episode.
“It may look like a walnut” was Dick van Dyke’s favorite episode. It’s one of the best episodes of anything I’ve ever seen.

“There must be some needy bald people.”
The memory of Rob and Jerry having that Ski 🎿 accident in Don't Trip Over That Mountain 🏔️ is my favorite!
