Hello! I can’t find Top dead center. I removed the little panel protecting the flywheel. I can see the hole when rotating the crank. I can’t get the pin into the hole. Please help.. i only have a few days left to do this job..

If it jumps the timing does it bend the valves
not in n46 engine. no collision there. The pistons has a row/small chamber for valves. They will not touch the pistons even with bad chain timing

on 2008 n54 do you recommend to do the timing guides since it has been 15 years from new?

On N54 you should change chains/tensioners/guides on 200k kms.

Much easier to remove the airbox then 20 seconds to get the locking pin in from above.
